I'm concerned with the translation of the Warden & Champion not being accurately done.

So it seems like Dragon Age Keep will pull information of our wardens. However I'm concerned that won't accurately translate correctly.

For example my Warden's face won't correctly translate in the new engine. Similar to the face translation from ME1 to ME2 to ME3.

They're obviously not going to look identical, in the same way none of the returning characters look identical, what with this being a new engine and all.

Best you can hope is for their to be an option to tweak their appearance after it's imported.

I think people are misunderstanding this completely.

It's been confirmed that your Warden and Hawke's portraits will be pulled into the Keep, NOT into Inquisition!

The Keep doesn't "translate" your warden's or Hawke's face. The Keep can only load a simple image file which doesn't tell the Keep anything about what your characters looked like because the image file doesn't contain any information the Keep can even do anything with.

In order to get our warden and Hawke to look the way we want them to we will need to use a character creator which will not be inside the Keep. The Keep is just a program you can access on a website but it is not running on the Frostbite engine. So in order to recreate our old characters the only way to do this would be in the actual game, namely Dragon Age Inquisition.

And yes, it is possible that with the transition to a different engine your character will never look exactly the same which isn't can be roleplayed away with the idea that 10 years have passed. This also applies to Hawke who didn't age in DA 2 but could have if BioWare had the resources and time (with a short dev cycle they probably didn't).
