After all the countless romance threads and characters threads I thought maybe this would make for a nice change

We will finally be given the opportunity to play as a Qunari so some questions for you folks:

Who here will definitely be rolling a Qunari Inquisitor? Why? Do you think/hope that we can follow and support the Qun?
What kind of Qunari will you play, a typical stoic and serious one or rather an atypical Iron Bull like Qunari?

We know that the Qunari Inquisitor is a mercenary but why did you join?

I also really hope that we have exclusive conversations with Iron Bull if we pick Qunari, I'm sure he has one or two things to say

especially if you romance him

Even though the Qunari are by far my most interested race in the game, I do not agree with 50% - 75% of the Philosophy. I'll only have my one Qunari Inquisitior, with these kind of games I just have 'MY' story, plus I don't have enough time in my life to invest the amount of playthroughs some people intend to yet are also unlikely to do. In terms of my Qunari's personality, I don't usually refer to my own personality when playing when these kind of games other than small aspects, however this time I feel I'll be acting on my own emotions rather than discovering the character which is what definitely happened in DA2 and ME with Shephard for example. Therefore I'll probably end up being quite diplomatic overall, I won't rush into things without thinking about the consequences first, because the Qunari Inquisitor has also lived outside the Qun I also feel like I won't have to worry about not being so excessively stoic all the time (even though I think I naturally will be in some areas of the game).

I'm definitely doing a female Qunari first, that I'll try to make as un-Qun-like as possible and will completely revel in the sell-sword persona rather than just do the job for 'necessity.' Likes money, hates the Qun, and likes killing things. Like...a big, female, horned version of Bronn from Game of Thrones.

I think her and Iron Bull will get along well.

One of the features of DAI I'm most looking forward to.

My second playthrough is definitely going to be with an impressive grim Qunari lady reaver who is swinging an obscenely huge warhammer with the grace and raw power of a rabid cow elephant.     :D

Good thread Qun brother.

No doubt I will be a Qunari.  Warrior and 2 handed raging by the second that I can't duel wield 2 handed weapons.

I think they will make us make friendly/earn Qunari respect, but I don't think they will let us join the Qun.  Very weak, but thats my prediction.

I don't know what "type" I will play.  I always play renegade so that....its just how I like to play.

I am not happy forced being a Tal Vashoth....I think they could've given the option to be a Qunari and just had you there to "answer a question" and then you get wrapped up in it.  I will love bioware even more If I can join the Qun though.

Shanedan fellow Kossith lover!

Yeah, that's right, I said Kossith, because I plan on playing a horned male rogue but I won't be following their blighted religion!  I'll be super atypical.  Eccentric, romantic, chaotic good, all that good stuff.  My character will follow the Robin Hood archetype mostly.   And I plan on romancing Cassandra!  I'm probably going to go with those medium length horns you saw on most of the Qunari in DA 2 if they're available as an option in the Character Creator.  Those gigantic Ogre-sized horns just don't look right on males in my opinion.

I'm definitely playing a female qunari necromancer. I'm pretty excited, i like the Qunari aesthetic/style. Looking forward to seeing all the horn options in the CC too. I'm going to play a free spirit independent thinking qunari who hates the qun because she's a mage, so I'm guessing she'll be somewhat atypical. She would have joined the mercenaries for the coin and danger, since I'm going to make her a bit of a daredevil.

I think i'm gonna base her look on a more fem/softer version of this:

Hopefully I can go hornless, the dual-wielding Rogue I intend to be are intended to be reminiscent to himself having no-horn, it's a personal thing I want to add. In terms of specialisation it will definitely be Assassin alongside Cole, having those two together for most of the time may not be easy though. I'll also be using Vivienne an awful lot, she's just about the only mage who I'll likely bond quite well with. The Inquisition I have will support mages, but certainly not apostates, hopefully most of them will submit to the Chantry/Templars without much resistance.

I wonder if the horns in the CC will have at least one option that reaches Arishok level, for both male and female Qunari.

I'd use the hell outta those.

I am definitely planning a Qunari mage for my first playthrough.     I disagree with 99% of the Qun, hence I will make a great Vashoth.    I will feel somewhat sorry for my people that are still subjected to the Qun and will do whatever I can to free them.    Not sure how I will get along with Iron Bull yet, even though he too is a mercenary supposedly, I get the impression that he is very unrepentant about the Qun.     That will make us likely butt heads a few times.

Qunari mage is interesting, but I never play as mages yet I'd like to be one one day. I think I'll play as a mage when a DA game is confirmed as some sort of conclusion to the relatively connected story we're currently going through, go out with a bang (literally).

A female Qunari is one of the Inquisitor prospects that I'm most excited about, and she will certainly be either my first or second playthrough. As for personality and such. Think Wonder Woman but grey and horny.

I am trying to decide between the qunari Inquisitor or the elven Inquisitor. I know which World State my qunari will fall under, and she will romance Iron Bull. But I haven't thought much on her character yet. I just know she won't be accepting of the Qun at all...she is too free spirited and rebellious to follow it.

agree that way you could still decide if you want to keep supporting the Qun (I think we both would have) or not

its even worse that we are just vashoth just a random Qunari who didn't left the Qun (Tal Vashoth) but never was with them to begin with

I really hope that the Qunari Inquisitor (depending on how we play) can learn more about his culture and maybe even though unlikely join the Qun

the earn the respect of the Qunaris has already been done twice (with the Warden & Sten and Hawke& the Arishok) so I hope we get something more this time

I'm also hoping that we somehow see Sten as the Arishok again and if we pick Qunari we get some cool dialouge between them

Yes....I am extremely happy to even get to play a qunari in the first place, but the Qun is where I want to be.  Any race, any class I played I would join the Qun, except maybe a mage letting them cut your horns off and being a shackled "weapon"...I don't know if I have it in me to do that.....on the same token I wouldn't be a circle mage either and I damn sure wouldn't be turned tranquil.  The mage issue is not a Qun issue its a game world issue and i'm not sure I would be anything, but maleficar....apostate at best.

I have no doubts that its going to be amazing going to Par Vollen and Seheron.  It's the first place I will be going when I play the SP and I know Sten is going to be there and awesome.  I just hope we have tons of content there.  I also want to see the ultimate navy in Thedas and hopefully some gaatlok being used to lay waste to other ships and land based enemies/structures.

If we can join the Qun which I would in a second I hope its more than a title and we can get others to join and actively do things to support and improve the homeland.....heck given the option I would fire the entire Inquisition and move my base to Par Vollen and take it from there with my Qunari army and advisors.

Male Qunari Warrior (Reaver).

Brash, freedom-loving, kind to his friends and the helpless, vicious to his enemies. Hates the Qun and all it stands for, feels like it equals death of the soul.

Basically the Iron Bull's persona, only for real (and a little less slutty).

Fem Qunari Mage (Rift Mage)

She'll be an atypical Qunari like Bull and won't follow the Qun but would be interested in learning about it.

I'm making her slightly distrustful and wary at first but she is also sarcastic, friendly, loves her freedom, likes to cause mischief, rebellious, can be quite blunt and has a fierce independent streak(not used to relying on others). I can see her joining a mercenary group at first out of necessity (food, coin and protection from Templars) but ending up liking it due to wanderlust and her inquisitive nature and will probably be best buddies with Varric,IB-who she'll romance- and Cole/Sera.

I'm going to play a female qunari rogue, Zahara Adaar, for my second playthrough. I just think the idea of a huge qunari being stealthy hilarious, and I like stabbing enemies with daggers more than swords.

A female qunari rouge is gonna be my first playthrough definitely! Her name is gonna be Asaara Adaar and she's gonna be a giant fun loving assassin.
