FEEDBACK TO EA/BIOWARE:

  • Include a OFFLINE mode for co-op MP (singleplayer)
  • Include LAN support co-op MP
  • Include Direct Connect (IP-address) co-op MP
  • Totally REMOVE the "micro-transaction scam" (aka "real-life-cash-for-in-game-platinum") from the game!

The very best regards

P.S.

Most of you already know me by heart, but for those that do not (please read up on my posts not already deleted on the forum). While lurking the Internet I found (seek and you will find) a very interesting article by Gamezone regarding "pay-to-cheat" in Dragon Age Inquisition

URL: http://www.gamezone....arned-our-trust

My own personal thoughts on the issue is that the main reason DA:I does not have any offline co-op for singleplayer and other multiplayer options beside the EA dependent servers is becouse all users interested of co-op MP are to be exposed and milked of CASH for the virtual "platinum".

"DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition is going to be free."

That's the first I've heard about that. If it's the single player DLC, I find that's an acceptable compromise. Let the teenagers with mummy's credit card wank over their +5 maces if it gives me stuff for free.

Yeah like the Mass Effect MP DLC was free/amazing.

If they do the same model like they did with ME3, IMO they did a really good job.

Microtransactions only speed up the process, in the end it won't matter for most people.

It's MP DLC funded by the microtransactions.

What a beautiful friendship it could've been between the SPers and the MPers.

Good luck convincing EA to remove microtransactions that are optional to purchase.

Look on the bright side: the multiplayer is co-op, not PvP. "Pay-to-win against bots" is at least much, much better than "pay-to-win against other players".

To the OP:

1) If they put a MP for SP story, they would be doing a huge disservice and that is also not the type of game that I want to play, nor the type of games they make

2) It will most likely not every be a offline MP as that would make no sense for the type it is. For the most part Offline or split-screen MP is dead (at least being phased out).

3) In the words of the Arishok, "No".     Get an Internet connection and multiple consoles/computers and you should have no problem

4) Don't buy them. It's not a requirement. You can literally unlock the exact same things by buying them with in-game currency as you can with IRL currency.

Why not make every game get ridof "pay-to-win" options? Most MMOs have it or some semblance of it at the very least. You are playing an optional part of the game that does not determine any part of your progress in the SP (which is what 94% of the ppl buy it for) and it is another option to pay for the things you're talking about banning. Play the hell out of the game till you can be confident on the hardest difficulty with stuff you unlock.

It won't be too much longer before I make my first rant thread on this forum I think.  I'd rather not....but two things about this place are just.......I don't even know what to say.

I'm not saying this forum has those that feel any more entitled than other forums, but damned if they aren't louder about it.  You know if YOU care that much and if this stuff is such an issue to you and its such an injustice and it bothers you THAT much...if you are blind to the fact that gaming is a business...for MONEY and PROFIT in which people are employed and make a living do so...AND bioware is among the top devs in this industry....you know what you should do?

You should get off your ass go make your own game the way YOU want it with all the love interests how YOU want them and all the features you do want and not the features you don't.  As a fan and a customer/consumer yes you have a right to voice your opinion, but its just that...an opinion or a suggestion you don't own the industry or the game or the dev.  Just because you feel like you are entitled doesn't make it so.  You are no better than any other consumer or supporter.

Also, just because you feel you put more time, thought, energy, blood, sweat, tears...in your complaining doesn't make it outshine the rest of the community.....and when you complain, ******, moan, rant....and then at the end of the day you still get your copy of the game that you paid $$$ guess what?  You just supported their decisions you told them it was ok.  $$$$ speaks louder than anything you type because remember?  It's a business and its for profit and when sales go up and sales are great the game is deemed a success.  period.  No matter what the people that are signed up on their forums say.

Hello again, I was wondering when you'd pop up again asking for the same thing in every thread.

  • Multiply player is for playing with people, possible people who are your friends, why would you want to play that as single player, there is a HUGE DA:I single player game to play if you want to play by yourself.
  • While LAN & Direct IP would be nice, if DAMP is anything like ME3 MP then aspects of the game are server side. That would be a decisions that is made early on in development and can't be changed at this late stage.
  • Mircotransactions pay for free DAMP DLC, are completely optional and (as your linked article failed to point out) you buy card sets with random gear, so you don't know what you are going to get.

As an example, I bought a pack in ME3 with some spare Xbox points and got some okay stuff, I then got a pack with credits won by playing the game and got a Krogan Battlemaster

Developers have got a choice, they either charge us for all DLC or they put Mircotransactions in a game for people who want to use them and give us free DLC.

I only have an issue with them if they create a pay-to-win situation or if they are present in competitive multiplayer, I've no issue at all with adding totally optional microtransactions that will pay for free MP DLC

I've never really understood why people are so opposed to being able to spend money on things that can be gottten in game. If there are things that can only be purchased, fine, that is an issue, but when you can just grind in-game to get these things, why does it matter if you can spend real money instead? One player spends an hour in game grinding gold. Someone else spends an hour at work and spends the money they've earned on platinum. Whats the difference?

So you want paid DLC ?

Because the only reason MP DLCs are free is because of microtransactions.

Also, that article is terrible.

*sigh*

Maaaaaaan. I guess I'm just selfish. As long as the microtransactions don't touch SP I don't care.

They do though and it's abandon ship time.
