Maybe they can pacify the mundane players with the option to have lyrium markings like to the ones Fenris had? Those are kind of like blood writing, so it's pretty close to being a Dalish elf... sort of.
That's be pretty cool actualy. Fenris' spec in DA2 was pretty awesome ![]()
Meh, Tevinter commited heresy first. I'm being a heretic to heretics. What's wrong with that?
Heresy is a crime against the Imperium, and it is impossible for the Imperium to commit crimes against itself. Accusing the Imperium of heresy is..is... EXTRA HERETICAL

You know, the fact that Tevinter even has a Chantry seems a bit paradoxial. "Magic exists to serve man, never to rule over him."
They were devout in their own way at one point. The main difference was Archon Hessarian -- and males in general - represented the leadership. Rather than women like in Orlais.
It's only recently that the old Chantry rules are being pushed aside in Tevinter, and they're trying to relive in the Imperium's ways again.

And magic does serve man. It serves the men who rule. They command magic, they use it as a tool to glorify the maker's name.
(or, at least, that's likely their justificiation)

Actually, it's been said that males in Tevinter were accepted into the clergy as well as women. Meaning that males and females both made up the chantry's leadership.

In Orlesian chantry? I didn't know about that. I knew they could be Brothers, but never Mothers.. certainly not Divine.

No,
. Tevinter Chantry accepts any gender into the clergy at any level, provided you have magical talent. The Orlesian Chantry accepts both men and women, but only women can reach Mother and higher.
Sorry, I shoud've made it clearer. The reason I tried was because people tend to assume only males can reach higher than Brother/Sister in the Tevinter Chantry, even though it's almost certainly all-gender mage-exclusive.

Ah OK. Thanks for clearing it up.

Tevinter converted to Andrastianism over hundred years before Drakon united the barbarian hordes to form Orlais and the Chantry. That the southerners decide to deliberately misinterpret the Maker's commands is heresy they will pay for in due time.
wasn't this a thread about the dalish and their tattoos?

So on topic: does anyone know if the vallaslin and their meanings will be posted here or somewhere else when they're done? I'm hoping if it's posted on facebook, or any other social media site some helpful person will at least post a link here as I (and maybe others) don't actually use them and would still like to see them.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what they look like and how accurate fan guesses were especially for the more mysterious creators. ![]()

The last update from Matt Rhodes said that he would post them on his twitter. But it's been about a week now since then, so we're pretty much in the dark.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully when he does someone will provide a link (still hoping we get to see them).
Don't worry, I'm keeping a look out. A few pages back I posted his last tweet on the subject. But if I don't find anything I'm sure others will :-)Thanks for the info. Hopefully when he does someone will provide a link (still hoping we get to see them).
New video, new Vallaslin! Best guesses?
So these are the options, huh? Is this all of them or were there some the person didn't show?

I was hoping for at least Merrill's DA2 one myself. I liked that one on her.
Do anyone have a twitter to ask matt rhodes about the tattoos?
I do, but I asked him last time so I don't want to seem like I'm pestering him. Especially on a feature of a game I am not a fan of.
