Off topic but relevant. I had no idea that singularity can detonate BEs.

Yes it can, that's why the human adept is so good. Singularity - Shockwave - Warp - Singularity explodes = 2 BEs.

While Geth go nuts over the combat drone, my personal favorite is the duel between a phantom and a drone.

 

The amount of effort a phantom puts in to destroy a drone (evident from the number of flips she makes between each of the drone's shock attacks) and then gets staggered due to the resulting explosion is absolutely hilarious. Even more funny if the explosion kills her.

Drone is excellent tool for Cerberus and of course the Geth. Against collectors and reapers it won't make much difference though I say it again I can use it for scoring FEs on ravagers and sometimes even scions if you make them spill their nades close to their own feet.

^ Actually, collector captains and troopers go after the drone, very similar to cerberus and geth mook units. Scions, praetorians and abombs don't care for the drone though but the drone stuns the abomb every now and then.

And even if some ennemies don't go after the Drone, you can make the Drone go after them by casting it right in their face. Useful to occupy a Marauder who is going to flank you or your teammate.

great to see others who like the Combat Drone.  I've heard many complain, but I don't think they really use it properly.

 

I always spec for detonate, shock, chain lightning, and find it very effective overall, with the exception of bosses who tend to ignore it.

 

for myself I deploy it a ton, using it to distract enemies.  also using effect ammo (ie incendiary), it can trigger tech explosions.  also, it love Phantoms, and I've seen many a Phantom be killed by destroying it (with low enough health of course)

I prefer to DP phantoms with volus merc's Drone+Decoy. Then I scream "Dance b*** dance". It's especially funny when they alternate between fighting them.

Combat Drone is a good power. Not crazy good, but good. I like it especially against Ravagers.

Explosive drone kicks ass. A lot of people don't know that the explosions can detonate TB/FE/CE even on shielded enemies, and it just so happens HE is a master at priming for TB/FE. A match made in heaven.
