And the fact that Traynor was the least developed romance in ME3 considering raw dialogue time and lack of certain scene everyone else had, as I emphasized previously many times...

Except you have been proven wrong many times.  She had more romance content than the ME2 romances.  This is factual.  Please do not ignore facts.

5 male romances, 3 female romances. *weeps manly tears of anguish*

5 male LIs, 3 of them straight.

Again. Why don't you make a thread about this in the ME3 section?

Fallous: NV? The last of Us? Borderlands? Persona 4? Gone Home?

And Bioware is far form perfect about representation.  There was a game by them that game out two years ago (Theri most expensive game ever made) that had ZERO s/s options.

You're bringing up Borderlands and The Last of US as games with romance options in them? I'm confused.  And if your example is about ME3 it had s/s options.

I think the Dragon Age series is very appealing to female gamers, and giving them more romance options only encourages them to play it more.  I think anything that encourages more female gamers is a good thing.  So while I would have liked to have one or two more romance options for straight males, I'm OK with their decision.

But if Traynor had more scenes you'd just complain about those too. Traynor has possibly one of my favorite romance scenes in the game, the bit where she talks about how she wants a house with a picket fence and a dog and whatnot, but I guess that doesnt count as a good scene because she once wore a bra.

Casey Hudson also said ME3 wouldnt force you into a bespoke ending everyone gets. Maybe dont listen to him?

Unfortunately it made Liara a "discount lesbian" option (she's even the face of the trope on TV Tropes) and ME devs did nothing to fix it in ME3, when gay guys finally got their representation and even gained the possibility to make a remark to their sexuality - meanwhile, female players were forced to flirt with a man again whether we liked it or not.

Cassandra was a straight up nasty person in DA2 who turned likeable towards the end

Varric was a walking meme factory, I hope they pull a Valve and don't reference any of that in DA:I :grinch:

Speak for yourself, I thought Cass was hot from the very opening moments of DA2. But then, I've always liked my shrews feral.

Wow, I didn't know you wrote Bastila, David. You introduced me to romance in gaming then, lol.

I wish Bioware would retcon TORtanic, team up with obsidian and create the KotOR 3 that everyone needs.

Definitely Bioware's best RPG ever made. origins came kinda close, but nothing beat that. I preferred kotor2 tho

Uh, yeah, you named five other games out of, literally, thousands.  Hence why I said that it's one of the only places where I see representation.

And I am super critical of Bioware when they do us wrong.  And they did us wrong in SWTOR.  I love the game because I love Star Wars, but the romance distribution in that game will always leave a bad taste in my mouth and be dark stain on views on Bioware as a company.  In general, though, I'm grateful to them even if I'm still disappointed by them time to time.

I was trying to infuse some positive thinking into the thread, that's all.

Not romance options.  LGBTRepresentation.  And I was referring to Star Wars: TOR.

First, I can't wait to see GameMD83's reaction when she learns that yes, she can romance Mr. Beefcakes with her femquisitors. Her reactions are always hilarious.

I don't know. I loved the class stories. Vette was my wifey. The End game content just wasn't enough to keep me.

You know what's going to be super fun? When a thread about the official listing of all the romances gets locked due to arguments about whether or not Samantha Traynor counts as a lesbian and a romance.

Casey Hudson said that there's nothing lesbian in romancing her though...

I'm going to friendship everyone, then romance everyone, and then probably enemy everyone as well.

Thanks for the post Mike! Can't wait.

according to your own incredibly narrow and faulty definition

No, I counted the time. And you can't argue that the meet up on Citadel, which everyone else had, was some "no biggie". It would be the only situation to meet her in more private setting, outside of the ship. Even Steve got it, and it led to some very nice scene.

And interesting is the fact that men had more dialogue time with her, giving more insight into her character, than women who romanced her...

Dragon Age 2 also had more romances for straight women

sebastian was the most miserable excuse for a romance there has ever been in any game

It seems DA and ME series seem to be complete opposite when it comes to romances. ME series has way more romance choices for men while DA series seem to have more romance choices for women.

Kinda surprised about Blackwall though, I thought he'd be like the dad of the team.

Oh well, I'm not disappointed at all with those options. They're pretty diverse.

As a person who almost exclusively plays femshep, I dont recall ever being forced to flirt with a man except for that time in ME2 where my character took leave of her senses and forgot Jacob was the most boring man alive and tried flirting with him on her own. When else did this happen?
