I'm just going to leave this here and hope it makes sense.

(I was unable to find player-character gender statistics for Dragon Age)
1. Are the figures of player-character genders actually comparable to the Mass Effect series?
2. If so; is gender/sexual-orientation/race restrictions the most appropriate/necessary way to limit or include player content?
3. If agreed upon or deemed necessary; are resources being adequately distributed not just in a manner that is fair/inclusive but also in a manner that is equitable to your existing player demographic?
(I.e. if most players are male[Possibly untrue] is it really the best practice to limit the majority of in-game features to female characters?)

I would also like to attempt to differentiate my post from those complaing about the lack of romance options for my sexual orientation or "aesthetic-taste". (The validity or necessity of those arguments are not issues I wish to discuss at this time.) I'm simply highlighting the minor, but growing disparity between gender romance options. This is not meant as an attack or insult to anyone, but rather simply as an externalization of this information from my perspective.
Gender, sex, identity and sexual-orientation are complex and sensitive issues; it is not my intention to upset or argue with anyone about these issues. I just wanted to contribute my own personal feelings to the existing dialogue surrounding how and why romances are as they are.
I apologize for any insensitivity on my part.
I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Bioware, the romances that I have been able to have in past games have meant the world to me.
