My, this thread has certainly exploded a couple hours ago, hasn't it?
I don't want to argue at all, I want people to see my point. Honestly it's the shock of it that's most surprising for the people who are annoyed I think. When you've been represented in everything ever and then someone else gets more than you it's a shock to the system.
A healthy one, I might add.
*peeks back in to say*
Sexuality is actually tied to who you are. It's part of it. The expression of it is a way one can relate to others. It's not the most vital part of what makes a person up but it's there.
So stop being wroooonnnggg, it hurts everybody's heads.
*nyooom*
This is a completely separate debate. It's true that sexuality is not the defining characteristic of people, but it does have something to do with shaping the experiences of a person. If we go back and change me into a straight female, I'm going to live a very different life and, as my experiences will have changed, so will my personality and how I handle situations. Again, sexuality does not make me all of what I am, but it's a contributing factor. Saying that changing my sexual preference wouldn't have any effect on me is like saying changing my sex wouldn't have any affect on me.
But you have still not answered my question. Would they be able to fix this perceived injustice with DLC?
This thread is so full of posts deserving likes, but these two most of all. I remember how I got hammered down months ago (I think around the time they revealed romances wouldn't be all-bi?) for suggesting sexuality had any influence on personality at all.
Because straight women got double the romance options, that's why everyone is up in arms. To us affected it feels like pandering.
Everyone? This thread at least has been kept going for pages upon pages by a whole lot of two people including you that are all up in arms. Almost all the other posts are by several people that get the basic unfairness of it but find (particularly your compatriot's) overblown whining ridiculous. And from what little I've had time to look elsewhere, that seems to be the general trend.
