Friendships are not overrated. Look, I just want to see a sexy and *feminine* black woman in a fantasy cRPG. I'm tired of a-sexual black characters in entertainment and media. We're not just these perfect, disposable side-kicks. We are real people with real lives.

Cullen being Cullen? At one point, I think he'd have been someone who enjoyed smaller Animals. Being inside the Circle - you know? I'd love to give him a Pet like Sir Pounce a Lot.
And I'd personally load in my Fem Warden, Male Hawke - because I think my Male Hawke teased him about liking Hawke's Cousin. Sarcastic Hawke, Flirtatious Warden, and a (Somewhat) overbearing Inquisitor. I can see the Plucky, 3's Company sitcom now!
On that last note, I'd certainly hope so. I've a few friends who'd appreciate being able to do that.

It's something that I don't want to spoil since it is a part of her story. It's something that, when I learned about it, made me go "Okay that makes sense." At least for me. I'm sure some will disagree.
Note that this doesn't mean someone can't be disappointed because they found her attractive, or that specifically because she's a prominent woman of colour, it sucks to not be able to romance her specifically because our games haven't historically had anyone like her at all.

Well I wouldn't lie and say I'm not disapointed . But I'm used to it (Sort of , what with being a lesbian) . But in all honestly , I wanted her a Li cose I get a Samara Vibes from her for some reason . Maybe I'm wrong and she will leave me completely scared or speechless and I will go 'Man was I wrong? This is soo not Samara at all' . In any case , at least there is a friendship path . And that's cool , that open endless option to nag her on and on and that is the fun part !

Im not arguing for less. Im arguing for equal.
Perhaps when the decision was made to add two new romance options, maybe they should have said "Lets make sure we maintain the equal numbers we have managed so far".
Further, if removing those two "extra" romances would have meant a return to the all Bisexual format, i would have gladly made that sacrifice.
I'm afraid that in this case arguing for equal is arguing for less. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this next part Allan. They had already established their cast when they where given an extra year of development. They probably already had a good reason in the characters backstories as to why they wheren't romancable. When they scored a jackpot and got that extra year the probably look at those backstories and said, hey we either have to go back and change this character, wasting the voice actor's time, the writer's time, and the effort of the animation team in making those cutscenes; or we can make them romancable and make a great character even deeper! I think they made a good call. Yes it threw off the balance, but it was a gift of opportunity. After all if you happen to find a piece of candy in your pantry and you have two friends over. You can give it to the friend who doesn't like that brand of candy (an option that doesn't make sense), you can eat it yourself (a balanced choice), or you can give it to the person who likes it (a perfectly logical choice, you have it they like it so you give it to them).
I would like to give a special thank you to Allan for his patience, and rationality. It can be hard to keep cool in a forum full of hate. I do not envy your job, and have nothing but respect for you sir!

As long there is a reason, then I'm perfectly fine with it.
It's better then no reason and there is always fanfiction.
