Fk, I WILL write about this someday when I get a better grasp of the charaters, IT SHALL NOT ESCAPE ME. Poor Schmooples. At least he'll get a protective hug from Leli.

Spoiler

Alistair is a frikin DORK-NERD-TRASH. i love him and his silly banter. All of the banter was  good, really, not just with him. Zev/Wynne was fun too (wanting to rest his head on her bosom). A lot were snarky as heck.

I bet the snark-masters in DAI are gonna make themselves known pretty fast. I'll need to make rotations for errbody to miss out less (youtube is still my best friend for unencountered banter)

And we better be able to put on a real dress and dance the Merigold at the Ball. *snort*

Zevran/Wynne slightly creeped me out - but that's cause I know people IRL like Zevran, and while their humor is fun. Their lack of boundaries and sense of taste I find lacking. (-Snob Face-)

If you write about it - make sure to let me know. I love me some FanFic - if it's tasteful of course. -High Society Pinky Raise-

Alistair - I just swoon slightly when I get certain conversations. Facepalm at others. Lamp Post in winter anyone?

holy fk, 11 games of about 150 hours each makes 1650 hours (or more if you're a completionist).

I don't even know if i can manage 5 PT's

You have great determination.

11 is nothing in comparison to the 16 Shepards that I'm still only half way through completing (would've had more done but when the original ME came out on PS3 I took some of my PS3 ME2 Sheps back to the beginning).  ;)

I doubt I will be thorough on all of them, just a handful that I consider my 'mains'. I just love the variables these games provide and 11 allows me to do so. On a romance level it allows me to romance all the LIs with both sexs for Iron Bull and Josephine and have a 'Forever alone' Inquisitor as well. Class/race wise I can have 1 of each class for each race with 11 and as far as Warden status and whom is ruling Ferelden I can pretty much cover those too (although there is about 23 variables for whom is ruling Ferelden and what the status of Alistair, Warden and Loghain is).

Did I mention I like variables?  ;)

I hope you are aware that a post with a question like that only makes it more likely that they will start to forsake romances all together because of possible political backlash. They gave us extra content. If you don't want to take advantage of it for personal reasons then please do not spoil it for those of you who will.

On a side not I have to agree with him. We get a lot of love, I don't see the harm in sharing some of it.

Just because they call call it "extra concent", it doesn't justify one group getting twice as much content as any other group. Firstly I was just a bit dissapointed about getting only two choices, but to honest, I don't care so much for romances. Actually it would the first major feature of the game I would remove and spend the ressources on non-romance character interaction content. But I find Allans comment offensive. He is basically saying, that because straight males were favored in past bioware games (and in the society, but let's just talk about games) they have to suffer now and as a nice side- effect they will finally know how other groups felt before. I would just like to know, if this is the official Bioware policy on this subject and if we can expect this kind of view in future dragon age games?

Honestly, I don't get why Straight White Males are getting all upset about getting the shaft.

I think you'll find that it's actually mainly the straight gals that are getting the shaft here.

Same. I'm not going down that road again. I forced myself to romance Merrill in DA2 not because I liked her, but simply because I had no better option. I'm not doing that ever again. If both Cassandra and Josephine bother me, my Inquisitor will simply be married to his job.

You're not suffering. You're getting the same amount of choices you've always had, and the same amount as lesbians and gays.

He also said with one of his messages, that his chosen phrase was used in a way that "One group was benefiting" rather than all the other groups were being punished.

When pressed on it, he gave *His* opinion. Be offended or not - but it's just his belief.

And besides - why does it even matter? They got extra time, so instead of rushing out some half-assed, new characters. Or shoe-horning existing characters into a state they wouldn't be in. Cullen and Solas were intended to be straight. So - they were  added as straight, *With* race gating. Meaning, those looking to make Qunari/Dwarf Females, will have to roll Humans/elves in order to get them.

I'd prefer the extra replaying - using fleshed out characters. Than rushed messes.

Is this just your personal opinion or is this the official view from bioware?

That basically sounds like: "We get money from 10 people, they vote on stuff they want and it's 9 votes for A and 1 vote for B, thus we're going to do B because our personal social dogmas say so".

So come on guys (you sane ones, you know who you are). Share your fave LI's and who you plan to romance first, let the flamers rage by themselves.

Er... Solas and Cullen.

BOY I LUCKED OUT ON THAT HUH?

Dorian's pretty sweet, though, too. And Josephine's a cutie. Obviously, a Lady Lavellan for Solas, and I'll be doing a Lady Trevelyan for Cullen. For Dorian, a Dude Cadash. Not sure about Josephine, though.

Have to figure out what to do with my Lady Adaar, though. Originally had her planned for Cullen, but, not happening. She's straight, so, Blackwall or the Bull for her. Will have to see how their personalities are during my first run. (Glad I made her a rogue.)

In the other Romance thread, someone posed an interesting question, and I think this is probably how I'll sort out my LI's. That way I play all the race/gender combos, and see all the LI's! And I still have another run after those eight, so, we'll see how that figures.

Yeah,

And?

We're not the developers, EA is and EA thinks the quote-unquote artist knows what he's doing.

No he's saying that for once there giving the extra choices to one of the other group that got lesser choices in the past and we should stop acting like spoiled little brats and thinking that because we got more in the past we should get more now.

gay and lesbians only have two choices as well so its not like we are getting screwed over.

It is just his Opinion deal with it.

In DA2 I had no romances, Isabella was so promiscuous for my taste, and Merrill was SO UGLY and immature. At least Cassandra looks like a strong and intelligent woman, not so pretty, but I hope she have a little bit of charm.

Why didn't they use the extra year to make the existing romances better and deeper, rather than giving one particular group a massive increase in choice?

Maybe cause they used it to allow the players to choose a race other than human?

And how do you know the existing romances aren't already deep and good? Or that perhaps they DID make them even better and even more deep?

Maybe cause they added extra content we will never notice to be there, cause it's perfectly implimented and doesn't appear to 'put in afterwards'?

I really hope i like the Cassandra romance as i have no interest in NPC romances.

Also really i don't find the romance lacking in quality, given there were such extra resources to throw extra romances at hetrosexual females.

Content made because it is something nice they didn't have to do is the definition of extra content or better yet a gift. He was merely pointing out that we generally get prefrence and found it odd that with all the attention we get that we complain about one instance in which we do not (my personal interpretation of the post). I also think that it isn't fair to complain when there are four other groups that where short changed in other games (bi, gay, lesbian, and straight female). We have had our turn, let them have their. Besides this wasn't planned from the start. They added at least one of them because it made sense with the character they already made a detailed backstory for when the date got extended. I will read your next post, but I will not respond. I have had this conversation before, and want this thread to be about fun romance ideas and pleasant conversation rather then bitter bickering about a trivial post being blown up over and over again.

I can see where that would be viewed as inappropriate, but I think that was the point. And his tone made it clear he was just taking the pi$$ cause it was getting past her stern demeanor. *unladylike snort*

Haha, lets hope I actually get to it. (and please, I'm the classiest after Viv)

And that's why I'm going to berate Bioware on the forums, what else is there to do.

I would cancel the preorder but there are too few RPGs to be choosy thus the free market laws are unable to punish them. Still, the backlash is legit when you try to be trendy at the expense of others, and I'm totally not going to be consent with it.
