My only disappointment is knowing I'll never have time to experience all of the different romances or play all the different Inquisitor combinations.

I'm a little sad for the straight ladies. We get a bit left out I think. We get the two gated characters and the guy who's about to go on his calling and die ... unless there is a way to save Blackwall ... we're a little like FemShep all over again.

Although as someone that leans towards a preference for women, I'm disappointed with no Vivienne.
I'm pretty happy with my options still though, thank you for finally ripping the bandaid off!

I would say it would have been better to do it all at once or not at all, and not announce ANY romances prior to release. Either that or simply not do romances, which gets tempting at times like these. Either way, I'm glad it's finally done, rather than leaving people to set their hearts on characters they haven't met yet only to be disappointed.

 

Yeah, it seems tempting. But thank you for putting the effort. It helps to make Bioware games and Bioware characters special. Thank you.

Well, this is interesting. I was planning on romancing Vivienne on my second playthrough right after I learned I couldn't romance Sera. It looks like it's Cassandra and Josephine are my male Inquisitors' lovers.

I might actually have more female characters than males in this game. That will be a first for me.

They decided to give not one but 2 extra options to the same group of players.

I wonder if their sexualities were decided before the extra year in development.

The hilarious thing is we still don't actually know if "Aimo's version" of blackwall is actually canon. I wonder how blackwall fans will react if he turns out to be completely different to their preconceptions...

 

That's why I don't fall in love with characters with only a few screenshots and a couple lines of dialogue.

 

So many people are going to be disappointed when the actual character doesn't match their headcannon.

I understand it sucks if you only ever want to play as dwarf or qunari, but hey at least that doesn't give you less options than most other groups of players and you might end up liking one of your options .

Thank you for announcing them all at once! I love the variety of choices. I was always going to romance Iron Bull first, now the tough part will be deciding who to romance on subsequent playthroughs!

I was happy enough with Cullen, as I play mostly humans, but the choices provided are really great. I wouldn't mind if there were fewer. And I have no doubt that their stories will be great, especially for bromance like Varric and Vivienne (for me it's even more important). Can't wait to meet them all.

Straight ladies get the only race gated characters, but they also get more romances overall than anyone else.  You get two non-race gated romances and two bonus ones.

I hope in the future Bioware just tells people straight up who the romances are out of the gate all this teasing and waiting just leads to bigger disappointment and harsher reactions from fans.
