Can we not just stop this whole "Why is Cullen in the game" discussion?

 

It doesn't matter what we think. He is in the game and that's the end of it.

...Okay, so there are 5 male LIs but only 3 female LIs, and of those 3 only two of them are romanceable by female Inquisitors? That's....kind of lousy, honestly. I mean, I'm still excited for the game and I appreciate all of the work that goes into it, but I'm really disappointed that, after all of the hype about how many LIs are in this game, there are still only 2 or 3 that appeal to me, so not any more than usual really.

I still don't understand why Cullen is in DAI, Hope there's a good explanation. Seems very odd to me.

For the same as Lelianna, they are favorite Gaiders chars..and some fans want him

 

offcourse this is understandable why he is in DAI because he was a captain of Templars who kill dozens of innocent mages in Kirkwall so he is one of the major figure of the mage and templar war

 

i do not like that he is, for the most stupid reason is our general and advisor what is a joke when we have ex Grey Warden constable Blackwall who is much better and experience to be our military advisor and he as warden is a neutrall and know how to deal with different soldiers no matter who they are

 

we know that Cullen would be in game but i as many do not even think that he would be more than a companion who would be with you if you support templars

Truthfully, after the end of DA 2, Cullen would've joined the Inquisition even if you sided with the mages, if he was a companion. The fact that he is part of the Inquisition NOW no matter of who you supported supports that thought.

Oh, well, although the choices could be a tiny bit broader, I'm liking this. I can see myself playing through the story at least three times just for the sake of different romances. ^.^

And I don't yet count the possibility of playing it over and over because I actually like it as a whole. >.<

It's dissapointing that the 2 only option I HAVE are women's that I don't find attractive . Again , saying you think she look butch is meaningless since others will and may find that sexy .

As a straight, white, male gamer, I cannot like this post enough. Believe me, I tried. I unliked it and liked it again and it was still not enough. So much truth here, and I could not have stated it better.

Recognizing that these feeling of disappointment are the same feelings that every less privileged group goes through for pretty much everything on a daily basis is SO important. That is literally the single most important thing for people to take out of this, because it allows for people like me with more privileges to better understand and empathize with the feelings of people with fewer. And that understanding and empathy will eventually lead to equality, and hopefully discussions like these will become a thing of the past.

(As a note, I am not upset or disappointed. I was actually excited to hear another group getting the "bonus" content, as it were. Maybe I'm unusual that way, but to me it felt like a slight balancing of the scales, and a step toward aggregate equality in video games as an industry.)

Not odd when you consider the large amount of horny fangirls that wanted it. I would've preferred that he not be an LI just so I could watch all the Cullen fangirls' heads explode. It would've been awesomely hilarious. Beyond that, though, I couldn't careless if he's a romance option or not.

I do want to say something about all the DA:I romances in general and that's congratulations all you straight female gamers on getting the lion's share of the romances!

Before DA2 came out I hoped she would somehow join Hawke's group and be a potential LI as I loved what I saw of her, now finally in DAI she is both a party member and an LI, so I am super happy too

holy hell I'm no fan of how they handeled the romances but I think the characters are great I don't want to execute either one of them
