I don't find Cassandra massively attractive - definitely not ugly though - but I'll be romancing her for her character anyway. She seems the most interesting to me, and I respect what she's trying to do.

i am not understand why Bioware repeat Tein problem with Grey Warden..Blackwall as i think is a good character but he is old and grey warden who soon will die

This is the first time I will know the romance options before playing a Bioware game, but it is probably a very good thing  since in DA I tried to romance Morrigan and in ME2 I tried for Jack and Miranda (I play only as female). My plan for this game was Cass or Viv so ehhh at least I am keeping up my streak? ^.^

 

I guess it is 'cause I tend to seek out the romances that I think will have a more antagonistic push/pull relationship? Also female LI's that are typically authoritative, confident and/or all about doing their own thing are just A+ in my book. I am a sucker for any variaty of the whole a pair goes from snarking/banter/bickering/ugh-I-don't-like-your-dumb-face to gradual respect to omg-why-do-I-find-your-dumb-face-attrative to romance (which seems none-existing in regards to F/F pairings in BW games?)

 

So overall a bit sad about Cass and Viv (and potential loss in regards of deconstructing/going against some of the stereotypical traits she seems to have), but I'll be giving Sera another look and hope that the in game romance will be more like the type I prefer. Still really looking forward to the game so I can just finally get to really know these characters

It's something that I don't want to spoil since it is a part of her story.  It's something that, when I learned about it, made me go "Okay that makes sense."  At least for me.  I'm sure some will disagree.

 

Note that this doesn't mean someone can't be disappointed because they found her attractive, or that specifically because she's a prominent woman of colour, it sucks to not be able to romance her specifically because our games haven't historically had anyone like her at all.

Allan I am going to hold you to this! I will wait...I will follow every aspect of her story, every sidequest, companion mission etc. And I will see...if a romance can still work...there will be fire! 

 

But seriously your second line I think, completely sums the reason why a lot of people were so disappointed that she was not available (myself included). She turned heads, her design is amazing and definitely a rarity not only in bioware games but gaming in general. But obviously I still look forward to getting to know her as a character and if the opportunity presents itself excessive flirting. 

 

In DA:O I really enjoyed the Morrigan romance and seeing the change her demeanour added a personal twist to my story...not to mention the ending I shall not spoil here. Honestly in DA:2 I romanced Isabella and it was ok, but not as engaging as I thought it would have been. (Well DA:2 on the whole but that's another discussion). It's why I was looking forward to the romances in DA:I, at the end of DA:2 I did not particularly like Cassandra and I'm also not a fan of her design, so she was out for me even before she was announced as a LI. And well Josephine at least right now doesn't seem that interesting to me.

 

So now for the first time in my Bioware gaming history I do not feel like romancing anyone. Which feels really strange.

I'm not sure if you are trolling (that would be annoying) or if you are actually serious (that would be pretty sad)

I think this isn't the game for you play some shooter so that you can calm yourself by killing some people then come back or don't

i think you need to go for another universe than everyone is happy and do not do many bad things for what they deserve execution and you do not kill +1000 peoples and undead with swords and fire

 

if i can somehow understand why someone can romance Templars Joan of Arc Cassandra,

 

i am not understand what someone find to romancing Cullen who is to blame for Kirkwall massacre with Meredith and for many crimes what was done for 10 years when many Templar captaines wanted to stop this

 

not talking about Lelianna(when you know who she is and what she is done) and especially Cole

I think Cass is pretty looking, but ... I don't see her as straight at all for being friends with butches and soft-butches. Aveline wasn't lady-like as well, but she had more feminine traits and was attracted to Donnic, so I guess my first impression of Cass will change once I play this game. If Cass was still her younger self with the pony tail and the more feminine silhouette, I guess there would be less complaining about her appearance from some straight gamers. Personally, I would've preferred if Cass was bisexual... just a personal preference, but I respect Gaider's decision. It's just a stupid prejudice I got that needs to disappear.

She's easily the most interesting LI in the game I feel, and she's fine as fook, really wish she was bi but you can't always get what you want sadly.
