Hush you. When you mention Kaidan x Femshep, it reminds me that other people have romanced him. In my mind, he is all for my male Shep!
Nah, I was just poking fun at Ry, cause Garrus sucks. ![]()

*Pleaaaaase* Garrus was *Awesome* - If I was a woman, he could Calibrate me anyday!
Also, Dorian looks so dapper (to me, granted you're more than welcome to your own opinion).
Iron Bull, I can see as someone who's sort of boisterous and lecherous on the surface - But can be like Alistair/Sten (If we could have romanced the latter) dutiful, faithful, and no worse for wear being 'tied down'... See what I did there?
If you don't import, Kaidan claims (in his bumbling way) to want someone handsome (hint: he's talking about you, Shepard). His dialogue is different (he doesn't use the word "handsome") if you import a game from ME where Kaidan is alive. They vaguely hinted towards it in certain dialogues. Like in ME1 when you talk to him about Jump Zero.
I think Dorian is the most appealing looking LI in the game, both in appearance and personality. I think Iron Bull is the least appealing looking one, in appearance and because of his ties to the Qun. But it's all just opinion, when you get down to stuff like this. It's not reasonable to expect the options you get to be the ones you specifically want. Everyone in each demographic wants different things. The options they distribute will never please everyone. I just hope they'll keep trying to make the distribution more generally equal.
I'm pretty disappointed with this news, my Qunari Female Mage lost both my first choice (Vivienne) and my second choice (Cullen), so yeah it's not great news. But, for the Blackwall fans it's great news for you, and hopefully he turns out interesting, him or Scribbles.
However, he is expressly identified as bisexual when (IIRC) he has a line complementing Shepard on her taste in men (in the awful mission with Jacob, for a Shepard who "cheated" on him with Jacob in ME2).
Hold the phone. I have never heard of this......
*runs to YT*
I read, a dev said, Dorian is fantastic.
A straight male liked Dorian a lot. That should really say enough. ![]()
Well, this is disappointing. I wanted my Inquisitor to romance a female mage, just like my Warden romanced Morrigan, and my Hawke romanced Merrill. This is the single most disappointing thing I've learned about Inquisition. Thankfully, it's pretty much the only thing I'm worried about.
I hope Josephine can make up for the lack of a female mage...

I said something similar to this point in the Dorian thread recently. I think the fact that he's already won over several of the devs (males, females, gay, straight) is interesting. I have a feeling that Dorian is going to be a "mainstream" success and popular with many people of varying demographics. I'm really going to be watching his reception closely. If he was done as well as I suspect he was, then he could very well be a turning point for gay representation in mainstream games.

That's the best we can all hope for! And that m/m companions remain super hot
Did anyone else here something, cause is sure wasn't me!

I just... with the... and... nnrrmph... uh...
I'm awed. I'm awed by the OP. I never EVER thought there'd not be a 4/4 split, and the idea that the split could be 5/3 in favor of male options certainly never occurred!
I feel... humbled. Shocked. And like I should be guilty but am instead elated, and awed all over again.
So, to do the math in terms of characters:
2 options for straight males, 4 for straight females
2 for gay males, 2 for lesbians
4 for bi males, 6 for bi females
Is this really happening?! I... wow! Just, wow!
Vivienne was the only one I wanted to romance but I guess I'll turn to Iron Bull. He seems fun.
I know either way I'm gonna have a thrilling time running the Inquisition even if I'm a little sad faced right now.
Bisexuals tended to get a lot anyways......they don't discriminate like us straights.
(that second part was in humor for those that didn't catch it.)
Sera is really favored by Devs as well. I am curious to how many play throughs I will end up with now.......and I thought a year would be enough to get through a couple....Bye bye world....I knew ye once 100 years ago, alas, still stuck in Inquisition play through number.........
How DARE you talk about The 'Stache in that manner?! (No, seriously, I'm just joking. I respect your opinion.
I just had to make a comment because, you know. The 'Stache.
)
lol!!! Nope not feeling the 'Stache. I will make him shave that thing off pronto!

Straight female players get:
4 potential male love interests. 2 of them human.
Gay male options:
Iron Bull, which walks the line between humanoid and hulking beast.
And the guy with a hideous mustache.
---
Please, please let this game be moddable to at least remove that mustache off Dorian, since he's pretty much the only romantically serious option (Iron Bull is about as serious a romantic option as Garrus).
That mustache IS pretty horrible. I only wish there were trains in Thedas so we could see him tie someone to the tracks.
I'm dropping it. I think the only relevance is that so much vitriol is thrown about someone who may or may not have anything valid to say about feminism in gaming that it kind of goes to show there is something deeply rotten in the state of Video Game Land.
And not just Mother Brain.
Personally I have seen so much anti rhetoric from gamers and wannabes to the point where I have a very hard time viewing anyone as a victim. Anti-men, anti-women, anti-gay, anti-straight, anti-ethnic, anti-white. blah blah blah. Everyone hates everyone else in this community and everyone loves proclaiming themselves oppressed by whichever group they are slandering. That's my 2cents.
*cough* Kaidan *cough*
Nope Kaidan f****** it up with his hissy fit in ME2.
Edit: man this BSN censor is garbage. How did that get past ![]()
Nefla! You dare dis the 'stache? I am disappoint!
Haha that gif is awesome ! and he look good !
And as for why I wanted Blackwall to be a potential m/m romance so bad? Same as Cullen in one way: I'm a sucker for the experienced knight trope, but he's also big, burly and not at all high-voiced, quite literally my body type (and may also be 'hot' to me..........). One day, I hope to get a Ser Beefcakes, and I do not regret hoping for it. It just sucks that it's not the first Ser Beefcakes.
Also, I'm never going to call him that again, because it sounds funny, and I do not like it, but, eh, what the hell.
Personally, I think Blackwall is wasted on the Femiquisitors. ![]()

I just notice that Dorian face without mustache look a little bit like Haytham Kenway ![]()
The mustache doesn't bother me and I feel like we are focusing on looks to much.
Both Dorian and Iron Bull seem like interesting and entertaining characters to me. Neither of them sound like the depression duo we got for DA2 so I have to say I am very happy about how things turned out.
As for the other romances I guess I will just be playing more females than I thought, Blackwall will do nicely for my female Qunari and Solas for my female Dalish hunter. ![]()

See I kind of see Blackwall as a waste as a romance period. I'm really not a fan of the tragic romance.
