It's like you are looking for ways to be contrary.I also don't count Traynor as proper romance, so it left me with Liara - who, as Hudson said, was not lesbian romance option.
Sam and Liara were both full f/f romances. So are Sera and Josephine.

I know I shouldn't be so so pessimistic, but I hope because Cullens romance was added in afterwards it isn't more limited, ala DLC Sebastian. I know they say they had the same resources or whatever put into them, but I just wonder if they'll be as integrated into the main story. Not complaining though, just wondering aloud!
I'm thankful he is a romance at all! So thank you for adding him, especially considering others missed out on who they wanted, it may have been torture him just standing tehre and not having the option haha.
Congrats to Blackwall fans, and sorry to the Viv ones. ![]()
Thank you Bioware for the post, it's going to get...difficult...in certain places here, but at least its out of the way now.
oh my god! i missed a romance annoncement?!
so, i take it that it was Blackwall as one, and he like females, are there anymore romances?

Whether you count her as a romance doesnt matter. She absolutely is one. Just because she's not part of your squad for missions doesnt make her less of a character. I can see not counting Allers as a romance because she's barely even a fling, but Traynor is a full romance and not just a fling.
Goddamnit, Maria! Now I have all these new characters to worry about!I'm still bummed about Cassandra.I've started shipping the multiplayer characters though, and I doubt BioWare will touch them.
why not? She gives the achievement, and has more content than any of the ME2 romances in ME3
Had the least development of all ME3 romances and appeared to be more of cheap turn-on for straight guys with all those awful semi-nudity teasing scenes rather than something that was created with lesbian players in mind.
That's awesome to hear. Like Mike posted, I'm very excited for fans to finally meet these characters. I'm also happy we managed to swing still having at least two options for everyone (as before), yet also having greater diversity and representation. I think (and I hope people will agree once they play) that ultimately it makes for interesting variety.
Thank you too, David. I hope the non-romances, where our favorites return, will have just as intriguing stories that we can discover and be involved with. Thanks again for the all work!

Well, it is the best representation so far. Very well done for the heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual men and women.

Blackwell is an interesting choice and potentially complicated, so hats off BW. That's what romances should be. Viv is a disappointment, but Sera and Josephine await. Cassandra may force me to play a male character this time around, something I have not done since ME2.
You know, if I didn't get Cassandra, I'd seriously upset right now.
But it's like opium, it's making me not particularly concerned about it.
I find it strange that Bioware said that Cullen's romance was added after the original delay though: the first news of him being in the game was Bioware declaring that he was romanceable.

damm it why no Blackwall for males??? very disappointing
and why do females get more romances?? very unfair and annoying
god I'm pissed
Thanks for the info, Mike!

Who do you ship?
So let me do the math here....if you like women (male or female players) you get THREE choices and if you like men (male or female players) you get FIVE choices. Now if you want a f/f romance you get 2, m/m 2 and str8 you get 4.
interesting.

Having less dialogue time, less scenes (as the only one she didn't have meet-up on Citadel in base game) makes her less of a character. Such things like those distasteful straight-male-teasing scenes affected the subjective experience.

nice try, just because you don't like a romance doesn't mean it isn't one
Thanks a lot ! I can't be happier about these romance choices (maybe it is just me but I fell like you considered your female fans/players, as much as your male fans/players - big thanks for this). And I completely understand why some character are not romance choice : it is much consistent with their background. Thank you again.
I always find myself drawn to David's romances, so I'm particularly stoked for Cassandra now that I know she's ungated. Can't wait to see how she'll react to a relationship with a dwarven, elven or qunari Inquisitor.

Nice try, but lesbians had no romance in ME2, even though there was bisexual female NPC.
This is why I said "a little sad."
Look at it from the perspective of the player who wants to play a straight female qunari or a dwarf, you can romance Iron Bull or Blackwall. If you aren't into Iron Bull, your choice is a dying man, shades of Thane all over again.
Now, if you are playing a straight female elf or human, then you do indeed have a decent range of options.
I was honestly hoping after the announcement of Solas that the other race gate would be someone other than one of the other straight female options because now depending on what race you play, you can effectively double (or halve) your romantic possibilities by playing straight female. Can any other player demo do that?
Danke - glad that Blackwall ended up being an option, so woohoo (err, not that kind of woohoo)!

I wasn't talking about that, I was commenting on Traynor being the least developed romance, which is just flat out untrue

What's more, it makes for a worthy, admirable endeavor on your parts as writers.
