I'm going to jump from apple to Samsung with my next phone.
I have an iPhone 4s for England and a galaxy ace 3 for Thailand but the galaxy ace is a bit unresponsive example the keyboard. Click one letter and I clicked the othe letter instead.
The phone sometimes freezes and "this app had stopped running" comes up sometimes and just generally freeze rarely. This was the same with my Samsung tablet. Forgot it's name, but I really dislike this problem. I never had this problem with my iPhone.
However, the new samsungs looks nice. The note series and I've just recently seen the curved note which looks beautiful.
Are the specs for the latest notes better than the iPhone 5 series?
Picking a new phone.

My iPhone contract had ended so I just have it as a music player and when I go back to England for a holiday.

I'm not sure about the note series but I just bought the galaxy s5 in golden and I absolutely love it, I had the s3 before but this one is definitely improved and amazing.
The battery lasts for a very long time, just saying.

I also went from an S3 to an S5.
The most noticeable upgrade is the camera and the much MUCH better battery life. I like it a lot since I only paid $30 for it.

I could use a new phone myself. I have an LG Rumor Touch at the moment, but over the few years I've had it, it started having these problems:
1. The battery life is too short
2. The internet works really bad
3. The touch screen input is a pain
4. It randomly shuts off
A friend of mine got a Galaxy S3, and it looked like a really good phone for me to upgrade to. Since you two are saying the S5 is an improvement, I'm definitely gonna look into it.

"a tablet"
Surfing Internet and playing android games on a 4" or 5" phone isn't really fun.

Any android phone with decent specs would be sufficient. With the way Android handles memory management, I always desire something >1GB of RAM.
