In all seriousness, even though I've made fun of BioWare and insulted them at times, I am the proud owner of the Mass Effect Trilogy and the Dragon Age Origins-Ultimate Addition.

I've been called a baker in my time, and I wanted to send cookies to the Bioware team, to thank them.  Maybe I should get on that, because what fuels crunch time better than small, round, baked things, like bread but sweet and crumbly.  (If anyone knows team size/where to send these that would be fantastic if you could PM me).

So yeah, I love Bioware.  I just rebought the Baldur's Gate series, because mine got stolen, a long time ago, along with my NWN (still haven't gotten that one replaced :(  ).  I am looking forward to Inquisition with the passion of a million billion suns....

I don't often stumble into this section, but I am certainly glad I did today ;)

edit:  Yay positivity!

Excellent thread OP, especially as there can be an excessively disgusting amount of negative comments in the forums.

I'm a massive fan of both the mass effect and Dragon Age series - games, comics and novels (hoping to see Inquisition pop vinyls in the future). I love it all :D

Thankyou for all the effort you have put into creating this game Bioware. You have addressed many concerns from previous games which is wonderful to see as a fan. I cannot stress just how awesome this game looks too. From the static cage spell to the armor to the mighty dragons to even the grass, it all looks absolutely amazing.

I also believe some of you are Somniari. Alot of the things I've seen in trailers and gameplay videos have been like dreams come true.

Thankyou again Bioware, keep up the excellent work :D

I love Bioware games. The characters are well developed and interesting. They feel like my best friends and extended family. The worlds they create are engrossing. I love to get lost in them. I'm a big fan of both the Dragon Age Series and the Mass Effect Trilogy. Both of them have helped me get through my chronic illness that I developed two years ago. I can't tell you how many times I've picked up the games since then. They make me laugh, they make cry, and most of all they take me away from the sometimes awfulness of my daily life. I don't really have the words for that, but I think that Bioware, the people that work there, and their games are amazing. I hope they know that and that they don't let the haters get them down too much. I know they're out there, but there people out there just like me too. We may not be as loud sometimes, but we're always there. Anyway, thank you Bioware. Just thank you :) can't wait to meet my new besties in November.

I'm not going to change my Avatar to look like you OP, that would be silly.

But I have updated my signature.

I have yet to see the final product. I will pass my thanks then.

However, both from previous games and from what has been told so far, I am very excited and think that the game really has the potential to be a milestone. I certainly know that DAO was one.

So while it may be impossible to please everybody, and while there will always be people who will rage on the forum for exactly the thing other people love, I have full confidence that, overall, they will produce an amazing experience. And I can't wait to get my hands on the Keep, the solo campaign, the romance with all of characters that are romanceable, the Multiplayer, the DLCs, the crafting system and all that!

...except for the French accents. I could probably do well without so many people sounding French. And being soooo Orlesian.  ;)

I am the proud owner of all the ME games, and DAO and DA2... they are my most treasured games, and each time I see them I get a big smile on my face and good memories fill my head. And I know for sure that DAI will do that too.

I love Bioware for creating these amazing games, and I wish them and their families happy and healthy times =D

It's really nice to see a positive thread like this.

I've played a lot of roleplaying games over the years but none of them draw me in like Bioware's offerings. I laugh, I cry and pretty much everything in between, but one thing is for sure, at the end of my first few playthroughs of a Dragon Age or Mass Effect game, I'm an emotional wreck. I love the deep characters, the diversity, the inclusivity and storytelling, even when the latter has me throwing the game controller at the tv screen because 'how dare they do that to a character I love more than many people I know in real life!'

Please keep the magic coming Bioware.

While I was one of the sceptics after DA2 and ME3 endings, seeing all the trailers, all the spoilers and official information, Bioware's general attitude towards fans and the game made me change my mind

The graphics look amazing, the characters seem amazing, the story seems amazing and just everything seems amazing

I know that Bioware, eh, you, have put a lot of effort in this game. A lot of money, sweat and tears and this makes me incredibly excited for the game. This might become one of the best or even the best game you have ever created and I'm sure it'll all be worth it

I also want to thank Bioware for being so inclusive and simply human. You promote feminism, fight homophobia and racism. Give big roles to women, poc and lgbt+ which so many companies have never done before. You do not oversexualise or make fun of characters.

I've recently realised that without you, I would have so few games to play which wouldn't irritate me with offensive and humiliating content. And you don't just promote equality, you after all make interesting characters which many people and I adore.

And I appreciate it, dear Bioware. Everything yoy have done and keep doing.

To sum it up, you're amazing and I really, really love you all

Maybe I sometimes complain about certain aspects, even argue with the devs and can get mad. But despite such moments, I won't stop thinking that you're one of the best video game companies in the world

Cuz, well, you are

I'm still ecstatic that we finally have homosexual companion characters. Sera looks awesome and while Dorian doesn't particularly interest me as much as some of the other characters I think it's great that the Developers decided to include him in the game.

Really looking forward to November. It feels too far away!

Yeah, even if sometimes i get disappointed, I 100% agree with you.

DA team does it so well..... and as for ME team, let's just say they have to do a lot of work to win back my respect after the ME fiasco and the treatment of female Shepard and straight female/gay romances in general.

I'm still disappointed about Vivienne not being a romance, but it feels like the sting's starting to wear off. Not sure if it's because enough time has passed, or because of my plan to drown my sorrows in alcohol vicariously through Don Draper actually worked. Either way, done with moping and back to looking forward to November! And I like the way the romances were decided this time, (equal options to start with, and extras after more time and resources were allocated) even though I didn't get the option I wanted most.

Good work, Dragon Age team! Can't wait to play!

Though, Thanksgiving is like the next week after the game releases... Oh god, all the turkeys I'm going to have to fetch for people. And then Christmas right after and the endless demands for rib roasts.....

I'm not going to be able to actually play the game until next year. #meatdepartmentproblems :pinched:

Yeah. Good job devs, and thanks for the effort.

Doesn't matter that everyone didn't get everything they wanted (the LI debacle) We got plenty and it's all good quality, I'm sure.

I'm looking forward to the game (whenever I'll be able to get/play it... haaaaaaa, stupid RL plans for winter).

Speaking as the proud owner of all the ME and DA games (Thus far), and a long-standing player of many (Unfortunately, not all) Bioware games.

You guys look like you're taking on the most monumental task of your time - with other Gems of their Era: KOTOR and Jade Empire being testaments to your skills in the field.

And I'm glad you've brought us this far.

Pretty much every, single detail of DA:I is keeping me on my toes, and at the edge of my seat. Fanboy mode to the max in a way I haven't felt since KOTOR.

Alright, alright - I'll put the spit-shine rag away and just say: Thanks for everything you've done, and I'm looking forward to DA:I, and anything of it's Potential that you guys have coming our way.

My only regret... I'll probably eat myself into a food Coma around Thanksgiving - it's what I get for having a big family, who are all cooks in their own right.

BioWare has always done a great job with their NPC characters and their story and the NPC's story, (IMO)  and from what I've seen this will be no different.  I will thank them now for that effort of course.   And what I find just as enjoyable, are the characters I don't like, who are well written enough that I don't like them because of their personalty given to them by the writers.

But,  I make no promises not to complain about something after I've played the game  :)  Especially if it makes no sense to me. That complaint, if there is one, will also include the great and wonderful things, which there will be many. No game or really anything, is going to be perfect for everyone if you are human and have opinions,  The players I want to wash out their mouth with soap are the rude ones, the ones I wouldn't mind seeing arrested are the ones who threaten physical damage to someone, fan or employer.

KOTOR - only complaint male Revan got a black screen, female Revan got a "Get a room" comment.  But we also got DG written ending so that made up for lack of black screen (thank you so much).  JE was a great game with wonderful characters but the guys could get two women and the end and the women <sigh> only got one. B)

Their willingness to include both male and female main characters, their story including the romance story line, dialogue and wonderful NPC's  is why I'll buy their game first if two games come out at the same time.  Even when I complain, they still have the edge on all other games out there, for me at least.

Yeah,  I have two sets of the ME 3 series.  One on the 360 and one on the PC.  The PC mod fixes the main problem I have with ME3 and I loved the series and characters enough to buy it again just for this, so I could continue to play it over and over and over again.

I managed to buy DA:O four times

Somehow

Don't regret it all, even if I use only the Steam version

I did buy DAO for the 360 and pc, my husband was playing on the 360 and I decided I wanted to play when I wanted to play, not when the 360 was free.   :)   Then I started added mods.  Somehow when I play on the pc if I have mod options I sometimes get carried away and never finish the game.  Skyrim is doing this to me now.  My bard is too busy going from inn to inn, no time to bother with pesky dragons.

Id join this thread with a huge THANK YOU to Bioware. There was too much complaining everywhere else, especially the romances. People just seem to focus on the things they lack and blissfully ignore all the nice things they got. When you only view the things you are missing you will never be happy because you will always be missing something.
Anyways Great Job Bioware, thank you for the game that looks amazing so far. I hope it will be even better when we finally get to play it.

I think people get SO involved in these things because Bioware has such a stellar track record for writing the most unforgettable, fun characters and just the best games to play. I know I've been obssessing over every release detail since we've started getting them and it's all because of the total immersion I felt as the Warden and the strange, wonderful, tilt-a-whirl life of Hawke. I'm a fan for life, even if I let that get me a little too involved at times, heh!

I think critique is very important and even criticism can be a good thing when it is thoughtfully constructed and presented but at the end of the day, Dragon Age (and Mass Effect too) are the games that brought me back to video gaming and I am so hooked on the story of Thedas.

Thank you to the DA developers! I've loved the different and creative directions for both the games and loved the novels to this point too! Everything we're seeing about DAI is convincing me this will be the ride of a lifetime and I can't wait to experience it all!

Thank you for your hard work and for the really intriguing character hooks we've gotten so far which will assuredly be followed through with the best writing and VA work of the series!
