Thank you Bioware, for bringing so much magic into my life and giving us all quality games, which later are a source of many forms of fan love which is super exciting to observe <3 I am sure that no matter what I will love Inquisition like I loved the previous two titles of the series. I am not the type to be overly bothered about the romances, I don't hold expectations - I will take the Inquisition as-is and play it with gratitude <3

Our perspectives have been skewed by the nature of the LI reveals- haphazard and disorganized as they were.

The only decision when it comes to Blackwall, that I am disappointed with is that his "type" or rather archetype always seems to be straight.  I wish that they would branch out in the future and include a male human knight in shining armor who is gay or bisexual.

That being said, the fact that there are 2 extras that have been given to the same group is what has me thrown off.

Yes, I am still excited for the game, and I am sure the characters, story, and combat will be enjoyable, but I will still voice my disappointment regarding the LI distribution and would hope that true equality in regards to both straight and gay romance options will happen in the future.

Agree with the OP very much :) but this post also sums up all my feelings, too. :)

I think we should have more positive threads!  kudos OP.

I am just looking forward to another adventure, to see the sights, slay some baddies, and immerse myself in the story.

I'm glad I started this thing. Each of you are so kind!

This is exactly the kind of positive thinking I wanted us to generate!

I got to know Bioware with Mass Effect 3, this was the first Bioware game I have ever played. The reason for this is that I got on the games bandwagon late and the first PS3 I got was in 2009 ... there was so many games to play I ended up getting Mass Effect 3 on September, 2012 and Dragon Age Origins on December, 2012

I had already heard a lot a bout Bioware games but I thought to get Mass Effect 3 first to see if I liked, and man, it was mind blowing, I played all of Mass Effect 3 blind, no foruns, no reviews or walkthroughs (that is how I like to play a game for the first time)... It was the most beautfull and well crafted game I have ever played so far... the story and characters are compeling, deep and I so wanted to play Mass Effect 1 and 2... so I waited until January 2013 to get the Mass Effect trilogy.

It was so weird to jump from Mass Effect 3 to Mass Effect 1  ... I cried when Benezia died, I cried when Shepard died in Mass Effect 2, I cried when Mordin died, and LoL with Grunt and Wrex...

Liara, Wrex and Tali are my favorite characters from Mass Effect 1 (I took then wherever I had to go), Grunt, Mordin, Miranda and Jack are my favorites from Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 is amazing... bad ending or not...

After playing Mass Effect 3 for the first time I went looking for other Bioware Games, found Dragon Age, fell in love with it and the same I can say about Dragon Age 2

Now I also play Star Wars - The Old Republic and cannot wait to get my hands on the Inquisition...

I still have a lot of games I want to play, Baldur's Gate and Jade Empire are on the list :P

Of course there is lots of stuff I think could have been done this or that way differently but hey, I will not trow stones, never... there are millions of players, and I know developing games is one of the most complexes forms of art and entertainment.

With all that, what I want to say most is... thank you for being my favorite game company, thank you for all the games, for being a sport with so many trolls around...

And please keep going on strong

The developers have created a story and this story features Blackwall who is a heterosexual man. If he weren't that, then it would be a different story, and a different game. I think only a very shallow person, or an immature one, like a spoiled kid, can attack a writer for writing his book the way he saw it should be, or judge the whole book and its writer because of one character.

I show my appreciation by giving them money (and for me it was 70EUR for the deluxe version). That's how I say thank you to the team, and after I've played the game, I hope I'll be able to say thank you personally to those in the team whose work has impressed me especially. So, if anyone is particularly impressed, buy 2 copies and gift one to a friend.

I just want to thank them specifically for including the gay options and don't cave under pressure from criticism for that. I sometimes complain about disliking the options, but it in itself is something I can thank them because I am spoiled enough to not only have the options but offer my opinions on the choices. In most other games, the option wouldn't even exist in the first place.

Ikr, their options that they give us are so spectacular for including all demographics and such

Great Thread, I am glad to see it come out of the deep trenches of the forums back into the light.

But funny thing is, reading these threads and seeing all the hate and complaints about different LI's really threw me off, its their book, their story, they wrote it, why would we get an option to alter that for our "selfish, personal satisfaction"?  I understand its people hopes and wants, but leave it at that, don't bash the developers because your sitting at home twiddling your thumb expecting things to fall ONLY for you.  Time to move on if that's how you feel, write your own game or story, then you have control.

For me, playing ME's and DA's, I didn't know who would be the LI's, heck in the first ME when I realized what was going on and then what happened in game I was like YEA!  So I knew the other games in the series would too, but I never wanted to know, I played the game and would let it pan itself out as the story does and my choices reflect.  It makes those LI's so much more meaningful to me.  I am already kicking myself because I already know all the LI's in DAI and I wish I didn't, I like the surprise element and try to create the bond myself.  But all in all, im here for the story, the epic journey, and fighting with new companions.

So with that, Dev's we all salute you! *Salute*

And from me, i'd like to say thank you, your games have kept me in the gaming light and out of trouble since I was in jr high, I've played majority of your games, I can't say all but very close.  All your RPG's, which was weird, they seemed hard back then and I couldn't grasp it, but now I go back and they are such a blast.

DA is my favorite of them all and im so excited to play.  Keep up the good work!

Great job Bioware, DAI looks amazing! Thank you for giving me 2 awesome LI's (Dorian and Iron Bull), that is more than I would get from any other game. Thank you for catering to so many preferences :)

P.S. I love all of your games, DAO, DA2 and particularly the ME Trilogy (love Kaidan and Steve)!

You guys rock!

D'aw, dis thread give me all the warm fuzzies!

It's true, we seem to have transformed complaining into an art form. Refreshing to see the opposite for a change. To Bioware, truth is, there isn't a whole lot about this game to be displeased about. Anything that bothers me, personally, sure hasn't managed to be serious enough to douse my excitement any. I've been staying up 'til the wee hours of the morn placing another post on these threads, watching another video (most likely again), or trying to distract myself from teh awesome. Heck, I'm more hyped about this game atm than anything else. I can hardly focus I'm so pumped! :D

I think the part that impressed me the most is what's been done with the dragons. Oh. My. Glob. SQUEEEEEE!!!! I love it! ^_^ Positively splendid! Must KILL THEM ALL!!! MUHAHAHAHA!!! They look amazing for one. Second, I actually remember wishing I could attack specific parts of the dragon to weaken it back in DA:O. Now I can! It's like you read my mind!....suspiiiiicious! Only thing I would have done differently is letting peeps go for the wings. Seriously, gonna hafta agree with Angry Joe on this one. It was the first place my mind went to as well. I mean, you give me a flying enemy, my instincts scream, "Ground it!" lol Also love that they actually get up and fly now. *insane high-pitched maniacal laughter* I'll get you my pretties!...literally...Deys gorgeous dahling! <3

The giants are quite impressive as well. What's more, you don't randomly go flying a gajillion miles in the air when one hits you (that we've seen thus far), and the dragons still look tougher or at least as tough to beat. Eat your heart out Skyrim! Way to show em how it's done. ;)

And ofc, I can play as different races, including qunari. Yesh. Dat's what I'm talkin' 'bout! B)

I'm absolutely dying to meet the new characters, especially Solas! Who told you I had a thing for bald guys? I'ma exhaust the frack outta his convos. Someone with a fresh perspective regarding magic and the Fade?! Thank you, truly! Me and him are gonna be besties in no time! We just agree on so much. The one I wanna meet the second most is Dorian. Yes, I was initially disappointed about him being gay, but I'm totally over that now. He'll serve me well as eye candy, and I still have Beefcakes for my qunari playthrough and Cullen should I ever play as human or elf. Mmm, mmm, mmm. It just ain't fair to surround me wit all teh hotness! My lil brain's bout to 'splode!

I complain (sometimes bitterly) about things like the femquisitor's walk and the Qunari hair options, which are really relatively small parts of the game, because SO MUCH OF THE GAME ALREADY LOOKS SO GOOD. There's really not much else to complain about at this point, all the big things seem to be covered.

I haven't preordered it because I've already preordered the new Assassin's Creed which comes out at around the same time and I don't want to short circuit my brain trying to decide which I want to play more. XD

But I am really looking forward to this game. And I wanted to mention that all the devs and people we've seen responses from have been very, very awesome in the face of all our complaining. :)

All true...in DA 2 for example, I do not think I have ever played with a character in so deep with troubles, terrors and heartaches as Hawk (except Shepard in a lot of ways but Hawk's problems are a lot worse in some ways), seriously my heart ache with all he/she had to go through, to withstand... and I love her/him even more for it... The situation in Kirkwall as so badly f****d already and I love the way the writers created that... If only Bioware had more time and resources to make DA 2 I think it would have been a masterpiece... the masterpiece that now I am sure DA:I will be.
