DA:I Digital Deluxe for Xbox?

Where would such a thing exist?

Why should PC be the ones to only get a digital version of the deluxe edition? It's not something that is impossible anymore with other games doing it, and would be great to keep all my games digital.

Should the Inquisition Deluxe be digital, what do you guys think: Yay or nay?

(miss being able to make polls)

I preordered DA:I deluxe edition through PS Store for my PS3.  I don't get what you're talking about.

Really?

I see nothing for the Xbox version....just assumed that there wasn't one.

Would also rather have it through an actual retailer to get the pre-order bonus.

I believe digital versions of deluxe editions exist primarily because most console owners purchase games through retail, and deluxe editions being only in retail give an incentive to buy a physical copy. That's the only reasons I could come up with. Also, I just realized, how would they give you the codes for the content?

It should be available on Xbox too.  Then again, I've never used Xbox Live, so idk where to look for it.

Also, there are preorder bonuses for the digital deluxe edition.  For PS3, I got the DA:I theme, not to mention that when DA:I auto-downloads, I'm going to get the Bog Unicorn, Red Hart, and Armored mounts, as well as a weapon and armor pack along with the main game.

If you meant physical stuff, then yeah, I get your reasoning behind getting the retail version.

Maybe something will show up close to release. Destiny just got one on there, so it could happen.

Preorders don't really appear on the Xbox Live Marketplace.  Or rather, I have never seen one this early(meaning more than 2 weeks away from release).

If Inquisition appears as a Digital Download for the Xbox, it won't show up for purchase until late October.  Whether you'll be able to get the digital deluxe version is debatable.  If the digital deluxe version is available on the Playstation, though, it'll almost definitely be available on the Xbox.  What with that whole "exclusivity" deal.

Same way that I would currently be getting the Xbox One version of the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition.

It would give you a code to redeem for the Microsoft currency that is of the value of the game, and then the digital deluxe edition would be purchased from the Xbox Marketplace. This code would also have an additional code for the pre-order bonus.

CoD: Advanced Warfare is doing the same thing.

Both are published by Activision, but it does show that it definitely is workable.

I just want to hear people try to say the title of this thread five times fast.

From my understanding from other threads there is a digital release for Deluxe version for the Xbox 1 and PS4.  Let me find the thread.

Edit:

Took less time then I thought it would.

I can state that the Deluxe Edition will continue to be available digitally via Origin. Box copies are up to store orders and manufacturing costs. Those I would expect to stop at some point, but I cannot say when. I would also assume that we would see digital Deluxe for Xbox One and PS4 to be similar to PC in this regard, but this is our first title on those platforms, so I cannot say that with any certainty.

Now I am taking the quote a little out of context because they were asking about transferring bonus items between different platforms, but this quote made me think that the deluxe version will be on the Xbox One digital store for at least a little while.

Not sure if you are talking Xbox 360 or Xbox One.

There will be digital versions of Dragon Age: Inquisition on PC, PS3, PS4, and Xbox One. There will be no digital version on the Xbox 360 due to technical limitations on that platform. As such, the Deluxe Edition should be available digitally on PC, PS3, PS4, and Xbox One.

I don't believe that Microsoft takes pre-orders on the Xbox One yet, but I am not 100% sure on this.

Derek, if here is no Digital Version for 360, wouldn't the hard copy (disc copy) be available right?

From what I have noticed that digital deluxe versions have typically only been for the new-gen hardware, which works for me since I do have an Xbox One.

Very excited to hear that the Digital Deluxe will be available for consoles, and do you know if it will be available within retailers like GameStop? (since there is that pre-order bonus)

it is, I seen few in gamestop online and other stores. they also vary in preorders. Walmart has different preorder bonus, Target has different bonus. etc etc. only it is up to you to choose which one you want.

Yes, there should be an Xbox 360 Deluxe Edition depending on if retailers ordered it in your region.

The Digital Deluxe will not be available in physical stores because it is digital, and thus exclusively sold through Sony, Microsoft, and Origin. The Deluxe Edition includes all 3 pre-order items for all time. There is not another pre-order bonus for the Deluxe Edition.

The physical Deluxe Edition will be available depending on store orders in your region for that platform.

I know for sure Sony provided the digital deluxe for PS3/4 becauuse i preordered and paid off Digital Deluxe for PS4 and it even has the countdown to when it's playable since the game will be preloaded on PS4. I'm pretty sure Microsoft has an option as well, though I wouldn't know since I'm not a savvy xbox user.

Ah, didn't know if it was going to be similar to Destiny and CoD AW (I don't mean this to be snarky) which both have digital deluxe editions and sold within retail stores.

I believe with the Playstation edition, the codes for the games themselves are emailed, and for the Xbox versions it is a code for Microsoft currency valued at the price of the deluxe version accompanied by the pre-order bonus (just received my code from my Destiny Deluxe X1 Pre-order today and was able to pre-laod).

Thanks for the info!

I see. Digital Deluxe on consoles must be a fairly new practice then.

Yup, and nice that retailers can have them too (in the case of Destiny and CoD), so people won't lose out on the pre-order bonuses.

Kind of sad that DA:I won't be doing that, but that's what the physical one is for at least.

Well the pre-order bonuses are included with the Deluxe version of the game automatically so no matter when you buy the deluxe version (standard or digital) you will always get the Flame of Inquisition items.

Oh!

Thought there was some content that only pre-ordering would net you...this is very good news then.

Yeah, it's similar on PS3, minus the countdown.  The auto-download is on Nov. 16th, but the playable date is on DA:I's launch in the US.  I'm assuming that Sony is playing it safe with the auto-download date just in case some people's systems have VERY slow download speeds.  It won't be a problem for me, though, considering how my PS3 is always pretty quick with downloads.  Then again, all of my games are on discs, so idk what the average download time for an entire game is.  And considering the size of DA:I... yeah, I'm guessing that it'll take HOURS.   :?

online download of a game can take exactly 2 to three hours. if a game's MB is big like 16 or so, it might take ten hours to download the rest.
