Uh no; Gaspard winning ensures the survival of Orlais as a superpower.

Celene winning allows the same fostering discontent that has been weakening Orlais since Drakon to continue.

Beyond that Thedas needs Orlais.

For the time being at the very least, or do you wish for the Qunari to invade and meet Thedas without Orlais at it's peak?

Ehhh, I'm not scared of the Qunari. My Warden and his mabari can defend Ferelden themselves. They don't need the help of the Orlesians with their stupid hats, and their... cheese.

Sometimes the Orlaisian way of speaking is good=Leliana.

Sometimes...not ala Arl Redcliffe's wife.

How do you see having issues with Varric and Sera?

Because Varric and Sera seem to be about helping the common folk and my main isn't above letting a village burn to focus efforts elsewhere. That and Sera is gonna hate me sticking Cole on her team whenever I can just to annoy her.

The term of the day is.....realpolitik. Since there is no faction I would wholeheartedly ally with, but I still need their cooperation, I will deal with them in a practical manner. Given that there is the common interest of defeating the Elder One, it should not be impossible to make deals advantageous for the Inquisition, in order to further my goal to emerge as a significant power after the immediate threat has passed.

I may not like most of the factions, but that should not prevent me from making deals with them. Ideological purity is a luxury you can't afford in politics, even in less troubled times. I will not lie about what I believe in, but neither will I bring it up at every opportunity, allowing other factions to save face when dealing with me, just as I expect them to do.

Fereldan was next to useless in the struggle with the Qunari and furthermore the Warden is gone and i presume dead but that's me.

With any luck, the Qunari can deal some serious damage to Orlais next time.

(Can you tell I hate these guys? I think I loathe them as much as you do Mage Liberationalists).

I sincerely doubt either the Warden or Hawke is dead.

I think it's because they represent Fantasy Imperialism. Fereldan has some truly evil and horribly racist nobility but something about Orlais just ticks every box for me about all I despise in feudalism (and later Post-Industrialized Empire Building).

I suspect any Qunari Invasion is at least twelve to fourteen years after the Breach.

We will see how the Empire of Orlais is faring then.

Hopefully, the Imperium of Elves will have exterminated the Spoon-Ears by then, or at least reduced their numbers.

Yeah, Good luck with that.

Honestly i think you and lob and all of them just delude yourself with headcanon and then when the actual product releases, you guys all gripe because Bioware didn't implement that sort of insanity into their game.

Oh, I know how limited we are. I actually like that the "Free the Circle of Magi" boon ended up being an epic disaster.

It made the gameworld feel more real.

My Warden was a pretty likable guy. Because of what he and his companions went through together, after saving the world, he was very close with all of them (tbh, this is mainly because disapproval has negative effects).

My mage Hawke was also very likable, but not in the way of the Warden. He had a need to be loved and accepted, so he would often joke, make fun, and often try to appease them. Even Fenris! He knew their would be conflict if they had ever gotten into a discussion about magic, so he would never bring him along to any magic-related missions. Friendship was important to him, and personal rejection was the worst thing possible for him.

I don't know about my Inquisitor. They will be a bit more withdrawn and harsh than the other two heroes. If the friendship/rivalry thing is like Origins (which I'm pretty sure it won't be), despite having a colder personality, it will be another batch of friending all of the things! If it isn't, I'm willing to make some enemies.

I would be playing a male dwarf rogue.   Anti- Circle, anti-Templar, anti- Qunari, anti- Chantry...

I plan on being friendly with Varric & quite possibly no one else.   The party in general doesn't look very good to me.   Blackwall & Dorian both look interesting, but I have a feeling I will end up not doing any romances.

Alistair: I give you this piece of land to be your new elven homeland.

Dalish: Yes, because that worked out so well last time.

Alistair: No, it's good land.

Dalish: It's surrounded by Shemlen.

Alistair: That's kind of everywhere.

Dalish: Yeah and that's the problem.

How do you see your Inquisitor getting along with everyone in your group?

I don't know.

I need to know everything about the group and I need to know how they'll even let you RP you Inquisitor.

I think I'll get along with most of them to some degree, or at least I'll try my best as my little human mage will be of the friendly sort for the most part.

I feel that I may clash with Vivienne, while she is also a mage I have a feeling she may have different ideas for them than me, so with that seemingly strong personality, clashing seems inevitable at this point.  Cullen also falls into the list of people I may clash with depending on if his outlook on mages has changed or not as I'll probably be fairly sympathetic towards the mages.  Added onto that he seems to be a man of action, what with his new role and I'll probably end up going with Josie where possible, so that may put us at odds.  I also plan on romancing him, so hopefully he doesn't end up hating me too much haha.  Cole is probably the only other that I may have slight problems with, I'll be slightly weary of him, at least at first and then we'll see what happens from there.

All the rest I can't see any problems, they all seem pretty easy-going, even Cass who while at the *very* start I might have issues with but after that I think they'd bond.  I can imagine becoming good mage buddies with Solas and Dorian.  She'll be fascinated with both of their different ways of life and especially the way of Tevinter, so she'd be eager to learn more of that from Dorian.

I know my first Inquisitor won't get along Solas, Cole or Dorian. In fact, she might not even recruit them, (certainly not Cole). She finds it incredibly hard to trust mages and anything Fade related, so these guys are big red flags for her. I want Sera as my Inquisitor's bestie, but she probably won't appreciate that she's more for the greater good than anything else. So it's sad that I'll probably have to resort to Stockholm syndroming her into liking me. As for who she gets along with the most, I can see that being Cassandra and Cullen, (her LI).

I have a few Inquisitors planned my first one is gonna be a Great Sword wielding Qunari Warrior Champion named Arvaas and I am gonna RP him after one of my favorite figures from History The Hero of Chaos Cao Cao.

He will be pragmatic and ruthless when he needs to be but just like Cao Cao he will value his men for their abilities and skill and wont let things like bloodlines get in the way he will be good to the people because in his mind happy people will make his job easier. But he wont tolerate any sort of rebellion he will kill the same people he was kind to if it is necessary.

Cassandra:"Lover"

Cullen:"General & Sparring Partner"

Dorian:"Tevinter Mage Advisor"

Blackwall:"Mentor"

Iron Bull:"Drinking Buddy"

Varric:"Best Friend"

Sera:"Sister"

Cole:"Little Brother"

Vivienne:"Orelesian Mage Advisor"

Josephine:"Diplomat & Assistant"

Leliana:"Spy Master & Assassin"

Solas:"Fade Expert"

The only one that may have a issue with Arvaas is Sera in my opinion but that depends on if I have to choose between my soldiers and some peasants in that case I will choose my soldiers which wont go well with Sera.

My canon Inquisitor will be probably human rogue, who gets along with almost everybody.

Blackwall and Iron Bull will be his "brothers in arms" - guys who will join both fighting with demons and drinking competition.

Varric is somebody I can't dislike even if I try. He and Inquisitor will definitely get along.

Cole was my favourite character in Asunder. If didn't change (much) since last chapter, it will be OK.

As for Cassandra, he will not be happy about that "you are only threat I see" thing, but in time, he will probably respect her.

I'm not sure about Sera yet. My heroes usually cooperate with rebels and criminals, but they don't get along with idealist (I mean, yeah, "bad things should happen to bad people", but life is quite different).

Dorian seems like likeable character. If he don't blow up some church, he and Inquisitor will be fine.

Vivienne... well, I learned many things from The Witcher and one of them was: "Don't trust a women with horns". Let's see if it applies to Dragon Age as well.

I'm not sure about advisors. We don't how much Leliana and Cullen changed since Dragon Age 2 and only thing we know about Josephine is that she has "sexy accent".

Cassandra:Probably different convictions but handy in combat

Cullen: Advisor, but I'm more of the tactical type then the heads on fighting type

Dorian: unbaised, just don't run in my way

Blackwall: strange solitary guy, we'll see undecided

Iron Bull: do you're duty, stay of the drinks or i'll kick you're butt back into qunari space

Varric:entertain me man, tell a story

Sera:handy support in combat due to her bow skills

Cole:sceptical as to his intentions

Vivienne: closest advisor

Josephine: Diplomat & Assistant if all fails, Leliana will complement

Leliana: handy as I like her tactical approach

Solas: Fade Expert, interested in knowing his true intentions

Humm; this sounds about right based on the info thus far, seems that my main team would most likely be: Cass, Sera/Varric and Viv & that I will tend more towards diplomacy and assasination if that fails.
