Moderating DAMP Group Team Thread - place for everyone to know who is moderator/admin for the group.

DAMP Events Team Thread - thread for everyone to know who is DAMP planner/eventer in the group.

DAMP Banters Team Thread - Thread for everyone to know about DAMP Banter makers who makes Banters for the group.

it's small list but it should help with the group.

Is there a plan to have an active IRC channel or something similar for active match seeking/finding? I know at least one ME3MP group did that, helped me find some people to help me move into higher difficulties. Would probably be a nice thing to have.

At this time I don't think we need to have a DAMP Events team thread, though that may very well change in the future.  I also have a sneaking suspicion that a certain someone might be on it . In the meantime if you want to plan an event for say ME3 on your own feel free to do so.

 

For DAMP there will certainly be a Day 1 meet and greet, for the first day MP is out as well as release day is MP is released for trial before the game like ME3 was.  There will probably also be events like, all rogue/mage/warrior parties, pinkquisition and other fun challenges and themes once more information is released.

 

A live IRC/TS chat, or something similar would be a great thing but would definitely be something we'd have to get free or piggy back off someone else.  Heck I haven't even paid off the credit card I put my Inquisitor's copy of the game on  yet.  I'll definitely look at options but if anyone knows some free resources or somewhere we can squat for free let me know.

IRC is archaic as ****, but if it ain't broke...

It's totally free. You just set up a channel on something like freenode.net (probably not the best one due to their policies) and register it so that you can reserve the name and maintain op status. You can also use browser clients, so no one has to download any software for it. There might be something better we could use, I dunno. Internet chat rooms are not my forte. But I know IRC fits the bill for this.

well I'm forum creator.. I could work on making a DAMP Forums via Proboards, I've been doing this for pretty long time. I got history of forums I made for friends or everyone else. all done for free.

IRC is indeed as archaic as ****.  I probably haven't used it in 5 years till the other day and it's still a PITA for user friendliness for no good reason.

 

What about using Skype?  You can add up to 300 people to a text conversation which should be more than enough for our purposes.  Additionally it would be really easy for people to form there own voice & chat groups for MP since they would have the needed programs if so desired.

Yeah you already have his group forum. Hmm as chat program set up I dunno I don't think everyone here will do it or even go on. It most likely will be for PC users. Maybe set up topic within this forum. Where groups can meet during game plays for what ever system. . but maybe we.can mix it up.

Also For ps4 user at least you can set up friends list as groups then you can chat in there.

The only issue I have with Skype is that it requires people to install software for the purposes of groupchatting with other group members. I for one do not presently have it. It's easy enough to get, obviously, but the fewer barriers the better, no matter how small, imo.

Also, how is the security on Skype these days? Has it been tightened up?

For the meet and greet part there better are two Day´s for this prepared, cause you know the US release Date ist 18th and for the EU it is the 20th of November.

 

With the player list info we got there should be at least an idee with whom to form a party! Maybe you could sort this list not only for different plattform´s but also for the timezone for each plattform?

 

That´s it for now.

 

One more thing: Maybe we could collect data about the ingame progress surprise events and treasure rooms shortcuts available right from the get go, and why not include some data on how to fight some off the more difficult oponents.

I have a little suggestion, is it possible on the damp name list to place people forum names who post their user id as well . Just In case players want to find a specific person.

I mean just in case the names is different from their bsn name. Hmmm I was wondering is this group public or private. Maybe making it private would be good. So info will be keep between members only.

now that the Origin client includes chat rooms i suggest making a DAMP chat room. for hangouts and LFGs
