how do you feel about the gender disparity now, did the news about the rom options positively/negatively alter previously or currently held criticisms?

Suffice to say, it's not about getting back at the straight white male gamer.

 

Anyone that thinks that I'm all about "getting back" at straight, white male gamers interpreted things in a way I certainly wasn't expecting.

 

The reality is that any person can feel victimized in light of someone else getting something extra.  Given that this is a rare occurrence for straight male gamers, I do feel that the rarity of the occurrence has literally been frustrating because it's such a foreign experience for them.  There's plenty of straight white male gamers that spoke up and have no issue with the disparity and are, like me, perfectly fine with a group I don't belong to getting a bit extra in this one game because it's not like I am starved for content (even just among BioWare games) that more specifically caters to me than other people.  Infinitely so if we factor in all of gaming.

I could feel outraged.  But given that so often I'm the lucky one, I've chosen not to.  I think it's easier to make that choice when my cup is already overfilled.  I guess you could call me a crazy Communist if it helps!

 

 

Especially given that Cass and Josephine are both pretty interesting characters in their own right.  Cass is probably my favourite companion really.

There is no doubt in my mind personally that this has something to do with SJW and the hoopla in the last one or two years stirred up by people like Anita Sarkeesian about "females in gaming".

This feel like a response to "look good".
