Sera. I'm boycotting her because they chopped all of her concept art hair off and I can't stand looking it.

Cassandra probably wont make the cut either, but she has a better chance than Sera.

I doubt I'll take Vivienne anywhere, unless it's forced on me. Why? Because she's too high and mighty for my liking.

Don't know about her attitude, but if I can't change out that godsawful thing on her head, she's going nowhere with me.

Not forever, but on my first run I'll probably be very Anti-Qun, to the point where it'll inconvenience Iron Bull, and he might up and leave. I'll be his best buddy and even romance him later though so it'll balance out.

I feel like my character will hate him at first because he's a mage but eventually they'll be best buds.

I really disliked Viv as soon as information was released about her. In my opinion she just seems too high on herself to be in my party. I want humour in my banters. I feel like Dorian, Sera and IronBull may do nicely for my first play. I have never been a fan of Varric so chances are I won't use him either.

I have never purposefully kept anyone out of my party for an entire game and I won't start now.

Now I've had companions who I've brought out for EVERY mission (mainly to get those Mass Effect achievements...) but thats it.

I loved those achievements. The perks they wrought felt so rewarding. (:
I played Mass Effect and Origins so much that I did end up having fall back teams though: Wrex & Tali; Alistair, Leliana & Zevran.

Cole doesn't appeal that much to me, makes me think of the assasin in ME2, who dies anyway but I killed him off in ME2 goes he gave me spams with his constant memory flashes, anyway, Cole makes me remind him, die, die.. die

(why so much hate)

Her narcissism is what made me want to romance her, alas it was not meant to be

We'll see how much we irritate each other once I start playing.  Morrigan, for instance, would only like me if I kept her in camp and plied her with gifts.  Heh.  None of the DA:I companions jump out at me as someone I would never try out, however.

Not as of yet. I don't know enough about the characters.

I have no idea yet, I'll give everyone a shot until I have their personalities figured out.

After that, I usually leave the woe-is-me-people, or WIMP for short, at base.

Newp. I want to learn all about all of the characters and hear all the party banter I possibly can. Eventually, I will start to just stick with characters whose company I find most appealing for whatever reason.

Definitely not, no way am I gonna miss out on companions and content on my first playthrough. There are companions that I'm more interested in than others but I think I'll like them all! I feel like I don't care much about Cole though (and also Solas a bit but probably just because my Inquisitor is gonna be a male elf rift mage, thats kind of a petty reason lol), but I definitely want to get to know them both better and I'm gonna be open-minded about them.

If Cullen is still anti-mage at this point, my Inquisitor probably wouldn't really want him to be a part of the Inquisition but I doubt we'll have much choice. Although I think if the option to kick him out was possible I probably still wouldn't take it just because I would be happy to settle for a rivalry with him (like with Fenris in DA2), those can be quite fun anyway.

I don´t know, if there would be anyone those would be Cassandra and Vivienne.

_Cassandra because she seems to be a fanatic anti mages templar (and yes, I have seen Dragon Age Dawn of the Seeker and I still think her anti mage views are within her in DA: Inquisition) and I am going to play a Mage Inquisitior with pro-mages and Libertarians views, so that will probably mean that we will class a lot and I don´t want to end up killing one of my companions. Again.

_Vivienne because she seems to be a Circle loyalist and probably an Aequitarian opposed to the Libertarian faction where my character belongs and for what we know about her, she seems more worried about her own personal benefict (gaining power and political influence in the Circle) and about her fashion and physical looks rather than about the giant breach in the sky puking demons to our world.

Sera, my two planned Inquisitors plan on using Varric(Dwarf Warrior), and Cole(mage)

Also I don't like the way BioWare have advertised Iron Bull, #ridethebull, completely ruined the character for me to the point that I don't even want to see him.  If given the option, I will kill him the first meeting.

All of the mage companions are going to hate me, so we'll see.

Is there any companion that you'll intentionally try to keep out of your party and why?

I couldn't say at this point.  I'm not particularly interested in Cole, Blackwall, Cassandra, Solas, Sera or Vivienne at this stage, but who knows.  Dorian and Iron Bull have piqued my interest, and Varric is my bud from DA2, so I'll probably have those 3 as much as possible.  I like to do everyone's personal quests etc. so I generally give everyone at least SOME party time unless I don't recruit them at all--and I generally can't resist recruiting everyone even if I find them kind of objectionable.

Probably Cole. And depending on how much I like Vivi and Dorian Solas. I mean...don't need more than 2 mages.

Don't know yet. I feel I'll like most of the characters though. I disliked Zevran in DAO and also disliked Merill in DA2 so it's possible I will dislike one of the new companions. If Vivienne has this "high and mighty" attitude that I've heard she has I could see myself disliking that, but I share her political view in that the circle should be put back together. It'll be interesting to see how my inquisitors relationship with her will play out.

But if everything goes the way I think it will then my first play through will most be played with Solas (maybe dorian instead), Sera and Cole.

Not on purpose. I tend to end up with favorites more than anything and my desire to include them usually ends up excluding others. Not for any fault of their own, but because every time I try to knock a favorite out I end up sad lol. For example, I've hardly have ever played with Sten or Dog in my party, but Alistair and Morrigan hardly ever leave my party (that creates some interesting results...). So yeah, I'm planning on recruiting everyone in DA:I, but I have no real idea of who my favorites will be yet out of the companions (save Varric...who pretty much never left my party in DA2).

Probably Viv. I haven't really heard ANYTHING likable about her so far.

Everyone gets a shot on my first and second playthroughs, since the Inquisitors of those two playthroughts are going to be completely opposite and I want to see as much character content as I can. If anyone criticizes my first (evil, Darth Vader based) Inquisitor the will be put to the sword and will be void of that chance until the second playthrough. I do find myself a bit bothered and mistrusting of Cole though.

Different Inquisitors may have biases against spirits or Qunari or Chantry associated people and may attempt to avoid them, but I plan on experiencing every companion eventually.

I like every body to varying degrees, I might inadvertently give Cassandra the cold shoulder on account of liking the other warriors more atm. But her romance will likely make me change my mind about her. Still need to watch dawn of the seeker.
