I know how to build a Shield Warrior I always tend to be more Offensive when playing as one , Always picking Champion/Berserker. I never really pick Reaver unless it's for a power class like Two Handed/Dual Weild Warrior. Frightening Appearance however sounds very good for a Tank and with a high Health pool you can really abuse Aura of Pain and Blood Frenzy aswell.

I don't know for a Shield Warrior I always pick Champion for Warcry/Rally , has anyone picked Reaver for a Shield Warrior? how did it work out for you in the end? .

I know for Dragon Age 2 Berserker/Reaver is a pretty soild deadly combo but I'm not too sure how it is in Origins.

My current character is actually a S&S Reaver/Berserker Warrior, and I'm enjoying it much more than I do when I use the Champion or Templar specializations. I've designed my character to be more of an offensive damage dealer than a defensive tank, which really suits the Reaver/Bersker combo. It was strange at first until I figured out the best way to do it--as S&S warriors aren't usually used for damage dealing--but now that I've figured it out, it's great.

Basically, I've got very high strength and constitution pools, along with a decent amount of dexterity and willpower. I put nothing in magic, and I only put enough in cunning to max out Coercion. I always have on three sustained modes: Shield Wall (so I don't get knocked down), Precise Striking (you take a small hit to attack speed, but you get an attack bonus and a critical hit bonus), and Blood Frenzy (the more I get hit, the more damage I do). I also activate Berserker whenever I enter combat.

I don't use Aura of Pain very much because it just doesn't do enough damage. The only time I use it is if I'm surrounded by a large group of enemies, and I may turn it on for a few seconds to soften them up, but then I shut it off. Frightening Appearance is great for terrifying enemies to the point where they are immobile for a short time, but it only works on enemies with yellow names or lower. Orange and red-named enemies are almost always immune to it.

I actually don't use Threaten, as I'm more offensive than defensive. If my teammates are getting bombarded, I'll use Taunt, which usually redirects the enemies' attention on me anyway.
