And will your inquisitor be one as well?  My warden and Hawke are both mages in my canon and I plan to make my inquisitor one as well.  It's just how I play through good games: first, blind playthrough as a rogue-type and last, 'canon' playthrough as mage-type.  Unfortunately, it means Thedas is going to see 3 famous and influential mages in a span of 20 years, all of whom mysteriously disappear when things wind down.

Warriors and rogues have this problem, but to a less pronounced extent since warrior are common and rogues can be DW or archer.  Am I the only one who does this?

I usually go through these games first as my favorite "Dark-skinned male rogue" archetype, then try out other combinations of race, class, and gender to see what I think would be my "canon." Also for completionism's sake.

My Warden: Skie Cousland, Berserker and Champion armed with Vigilance longsword and Heartwood Shield. He was like Duncan, harsh when he had to be and compassionate most other times. Very confident. Fell in love with Morrigan and followed her through the Eluvian after their son.

My Hawke: Shad, Force Mage and Spirit Healer, pro-mage and pro-freedom. Think Spider-Man with Awesome magic powers. Isabella fell for him hard.

My Inquisitor: Conner Lavellan, Assassin. Has a very dry wit, but still has a kind heart. Not sure if Cassandra or Josephine is a better fit...

No, the Warden was mage, Hawke was a Templar.  The Inquisitor will be a warrior first... other classes eventually.

Yes and yes.

And yes.

After rather painfull first playthrough of DAO as warrior, it kind of crystalized that I will go full mage way from there on :D

Canon Warden, Hawke and my first inquistor... All warriors. Warden did some form of two handed tanking (what's a spec I don't even know), Hawke was just straight up a tank, and my inquistor will be too!

Though my Orlesian Warden who I hope to hook to that playthrough was a mage. You know. An arcane warrior tanking mage.

I like tanking.

I'm exactly with you:  all three were/will be mages.  Dragon Age is the most fun I've had playing a magic user in a video game, so I'm definitely gonna keep that going.

My canon Warden was a warrior. Hawke was a mage. I think I'll play through with the different classes and races in DAI before choosing my canon.

Warden wasn't. Hawke...haven't decided yet. Curretly yes, but I'm planning on doing one more playthrough in the next few weeks and I might change my mind depending on how well I feel the warrior I intend to play fits.

the bioware canon warden was a female dalish elf, since in origins you can't be a mage and a dalish elf, the warden was not a mage. not sure about hawke, since we saw a female mage hawke in the enemies of thedas trailer i think its safe to assume the bioware canon hawke is a female mage. the inquisitor from the trailers to appear a human male warrior, but they might just be using that for promotional reasons or whatever, since they had a male possible warrior/possible mage for promotional stuff with origins, and male mage hawke for the box and opening cinematic for dragonage 2

my 'canon' both my warden and my champion have been male warriors..

Nope.

Warrior and Rogue respectively. Inquisitor's a Mage.

It'll be for the best. Otherwise I'd have to side with the Templars and I'm not too fond of them.

Nope, my canon Warden and Hawke are both Rogues. And both are female and named "Skili" (the only differnce is my Warden being a city elf), as will be my default inquisitor.

I have some kind of lore behavior stating that if a female have the misfortune to both bear the first-name "Skili" AND mastering the art of roguish behavior, she is bound to be a hero, no matter what. And therefore, only crazy stupid parents are naming their child Skili because they are cursing her to be "The Eternal Champion" (yes, i'm an old Moorcock fan :P ).

My main ones yes. Inquisitor will be too. Always liked the idea that they're a mage before a human (although this time they're a qunari)

Don't really have a canon anything. Current plan is the female human warrior warden, with a male mage Hawke. But the dwarf noble rogue I'm currently playing might edge it for the warden slot, he's fun (and I'll actually remember his choices).

My Warden wasn't, since I couldn't play a Dalish mage then. Hawke was. Lavellan will be.

However, my second playthrough will be Surana - Mage Hawke - Mage Adaar. The most reviled combo in Thedas!

My canon Warden was a male Cousland Rogue Archer Ranger, my canon Hawke was a Rogue Archer Shadow. In all probability, my canon Inquisitor will be a male Trevelyan Rogue Archer Artificer.

No, my warden is a city elf rogue (assassin/duelist/shadow) and Hawke is a Warrior (Templar/Reaver). My Inquisitor will be a dalish elf mage (knight enchanter)
