Rogues (duelists and tempest). Though, because of the Keep's bug the Champion was imported as a warrior (going to start a new playthrough after the release).
Are your canon Hawke and Warden both mages?

I have two of each, or two "continuities" anyway.
Neither of my canon Wardens are mages.
Both Hawkes are.
1 Inquisitor is, the other isn't.

Originally yes, but I felt the Hawke story in Kirkwall was not consistent with being a mage Hawke. Besides, it was too harsh to see his sister die in the prologue. So I have now a female elf mage HoF, a male fighter Hawke and a female elf mage inquisitor. Both females having had a tragic romance (Allistair not hardened and sacrificed, Solas gone); since DAO, I am a sucker for tragic female romances - so much more greek drama!
Ha. Harsh you say? My first DAI playthrough I imported my faithfully recreated save of...
Oliva Cousland, Queen of Ferelden
and
Violet Hawke-Vael, Champion and Viscountess of Kirkwall (and Queen of Starkhaven or whatever title being Sebastian's wife gives her)
and Violet did this...
Then my Inquisitor is a human mage named Jennica.

I typically use a mage-type for my first playthrough of a fantasy RPG, though. Or a cleric if the system supports them.

What's a canon?

In case you're not being snarky...
A "canon" is an accepted history designed for a fantasy world. For instance, Bioware's canon is a Dalish Elf lady who died slaying the Archdemon and a Mage Hawke who sided with the mages, with a few extra choices thrown in for fluff. Because of the nature of this game series, we can have "personal canons" where our choices are what affect the world, not what the developers decide. Unlike, say, the Knights of the Old Republic series.
And a canon can change, via the all-mighty power of RETCON. Though most of us just operate with several personal canons we're fond of.
And don't put in a second n in the middle. That's a cannon, which is for launching giant metal balls or idiots long distances.

On all of your posts you can click "Hide" and while it will not delete them entirely, only Bioware staff/moderators can see them, so they are as good as deleted.

I like to keep two canons. I sided with mages in one of them. All three of PCs are female human mages. And they all romance Chantry boys. And I sided with templars in the other one. All PCs are male human non-mages.

Yeah, a dream team of all three main characters in DA4, that would be an amazing thing!!!

Mages are my favorite class in any game. It's a shame that there aren't many games that favour that class.
Usually, most protagonists are swordsmen or gunslingers even in RPGs. So when I have the opportunity, I always prefer to play mages.

My canon Warden, Hawke and Inquisitor have all been rogues so far
I may try different classes later on, but I enjoy rogue combat a lot.

Yeah - I play mages mostly (I don't like close combat really, archers are not that cool either IMHO and mages are so versatile: CC, debuffing, damage of all kinds and once upon a time (sadly no more, thanks Bioware -.-) healing)
In a way I think the other classes are kind of boring in comparisson and I love playing as an underdog (and mages are exactly that with the chantry oppressing them and more or less enslaving them to the circles!)

Nope. Check the sig. Both are rogues with some archery and some dual-wield skills.
Why I did that is because in DA:O I wanted to roll as a Dalish elf on my canon and the rogue skills seemed more appropriate for that background. Then I rolled as an aggressive FemHawke in DA2. Sarcastic profile male Hawke already reserved the mage designation by that point. I wanted Hawke to be either non-mage class, and with that frame, warrior did not feel right. OTOH, she definitely has the look (and persona) of someone with rogue skills. So again I chose that class.
Inq. Adaar's purpose as a character was to re-think the Qun, putting a different spin on the same belief system, so playing as a mage made all too much sense. And of the three possible specs, KE was the one that fit best.

I had a HoF mage (my lone male hero), but most of the time I played her as a S&S tanky warrior type. Once I married Allistar, once he dumped me because I was Elven and once I when I was the mage I made Allistar have Morrigan's smoke baby and rule alone. I played Hawke through as all three types (female). But again my favorite build was a S&S templar warrior (who always sided with the mages because Bethany. Oh, and I suppose maybe Anders romance played into that too, even if I did kill him that one time).
