No. Because of my love to the elves my main Warden is a Dalish rogue. My main Hawke is a mage and my first Inquisitor will be a Dalish mage . First play trough is always "canon" for me, because I don't know how everything will turn out ![]()
Are your canon Hawke and Warden both mages?

I kinda cheated on my PC and had a Dalish Elf Mage... becauuse I love Dalish and I love Mages, so I was conflicted, alas, when I do the keep I will have to write that my pc was just a regular dalish rogue warden and my hawke was a mage. My first quizzy is most definitely a mage though, going male elf mage.

Nah, they're both warriors. Hawke had the talent, but he kept it under wraps because he wanted a challenge.
He and the Warden disappeared together to train and test their blades against the greatest warriors the world has to offer.

I have done multiple playthroughs but my favourites tend to be mages.. :'D The ones that I plan on importing to Inquisition are both male mages with elf boyfriends sooo... I guess I have a type with my characters and their romances :'>
BUT! To switch it up a little bit my inquisitor will be elf mage with dorian as his boyfriend so that's little bit different, right? :DD

I have two canons- one will be all warriors (F!Cousland/F!Hawke/F!Trevelyan), one will be all rogues (M!Mahariel/F!Hawke/M!Lavellan). But I also have a mage/mage world state that I'll import for a mage Inquisitor (or three).

Nope, Warriors.

Nope, In my canon the Warden was a Dwarven Warrior who wields Vigilance with his family shield, and Hawke was an Archer Rogue. I will try to play different class/races and gender so in my canon the Inquisitor will be a mage for sure.

All mage, all the time. I've never even played DA2 with Bethany beyond her tragic and inevitable death.

Canon Warden was a City Elf Rogue (avatar). Hawke was a female mage. Leaning strongly towards Qunari for DA:I but undecided on class. Might do warrior for the class trifecta.

Yes and yes.
And yes.
After rather painfull first playthrough of DAO as warrior, it kind of crystalized that I will go full mage way from there on
Wow I had the exact same experience that also cemented my decision to make my canon characters mages.
Plus I have more fun as a mage in Dragon Age than I do in other fantasy games.

Canon Warden was a Dalish rogue. Canon Hawke was a mage. Personally, I've got a preference for rogue-types, but I felt that DA2's storyline was more engaging if you played the mage archtype. Unless they do that again, I probably won't play another one.

Count me in for the different-class trio. My canon Warden was a rogue, my canon Hawke a warrior and the Inquisitor will likely be a mage.
After watching the Enemy of Thedas trailer, I'm wondering if the Inquisitor will have to team-up with his or her predecessors. Because then it could become epic, funny or annoying depending on our previous choices ![]()
"F***, why didn't I make any of my characters a rogue? That chest has the Ultimate Sword of Ultimate Destiny and I can't open it!"
or
"Great, a game with limited potions and I don't have a healer in my Power Trio party. I'm going to die, right?"

Well. I do not have cannon version since I like the idea of all the different outcomes. But I guess I will go with my warrior Cousland Warden and mage Hawke in the first playthrough. So answer for your question would be: no.
It's just how I play through good games: first, blind playthrough as a rogue-type and last, 'canon' playthrough as mage-type. Unfortunately, it means Thedas is going to see 3 famous and influential mages in a span of 20 years, all of whom mysteriously disappear when things wind down.
Unfortunately? If you are not happy about it why not change a few things in Dragon Age Keep?

He may have meant that as a tongue-in-cheek response to how most of Thedas feels about mages.

Dalish Mage would have been my first choice also. Pity it won't be importable due to it being a mod. That's why I defaulted to Dalish archer rogue (classic archetype).

Nope canon warden was a dual wielding warrior but since that went the way of the dinosaurs my Hawke was a mage.

Warden was a human rogue and Hawke was a rogue as well...not sure what the Inquisitor will be, but will most likely be a rogue, too.
