I dunno but right now I'm worried about Hawk. During the build up to hawk and just in bio game in general the marketing is always about how its "your" story and "your" charater. But then Gaider comes and says no their our characters :-P

Yep, doesn't inspire a lot of interest in defining your own Inquisitor if they're basically admitting he'll be retconned into oblivion when it's too much trouble to import him later.

We have met her, haven't we?

She's the same woman who pulls a knife on Varric, stabs books, and in the trailer pulls a sword on the protagonist. We also had a whole freaking movie about her threatening people and stabbing things. I get that some folks think that's hot. I don't, and the steady stream of dudes making whine threads tells me I am not alone.

What I've seen of her does not fill me with confidence that she's going to be very appealing as a romance. What she looks like is less important to me than the personality. Cassandra may have mellowed out since DA2, but I doubt it.

I've never said that I'm being unfairly treated or anything like that,  but I get why people are upset. The revelation that one of the female LIs was an NPC from the get-go, and gay men and straight women were always going to have 2 Companions is frustrating too. Didn't the ME team get enough flak for Traynor and Cortez to know NPC LIs were going to cause problems?

I personally like intelligent and rational women. The scientific female and the scholarly female. Liara, Tali, Traynor, that type. I am an introvert and an academic myself so these are the types of women that I relate to the easiest and best.

Cassandra is none one of those. She is a woman with more sword than sense. That's not hot, that's collateral damage and rash decisions with bad consequences waiting to happen.

Maker. How is a ****-stabbing, short-tempered warrior goddess in behearted armor not the dream? I'm starting to think you guys have been paid off by BW to troll all the women who wanted to romance Cass with their Femquisitors.

That aside, the advisers are not like Traynor and Cortez, they have as much dialogue as the companions and the Inquisitor interacts with them on a fairly regular basis. This is something that I would seriously hold off on complaining about, as every indication is that Josephine and Cullen's romances are pretty awesome and definitely on the same level as the others.

To be fair, everyone has tastes, I myself am not a huge fan of Cass's hot head personality either, but I still think she's an interesting character. It sucks that you won't get to romance her as a female, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to be super grateful and absolutely love her character.

as it now i really don't like combat system.

in general - i am affraid that certain aspect of the game, which in my opinion should a fan service at best, may play too major role in the game as whole. casting shadow on other, more important parts of the game, like mechanics.

as for people - i have no idea, some people like DA2. which means on taste and color all pencils are different.

I'm suspecting that a few people, myself included, are going to be disappointed that no Origins characters are recruitable party members.

Just seems an odd exclusion when they are bringing Varric, from Dragon Age II, back as a party member.

Why is it strange that they bring back Varric?

That's not what I said.

I said it was odd that they would exclude an Origins character from being an active party member when we have the returning character of Varric from the second game.

Okay, first of all.
Stop calling Cassandra Pentaghast a "Butch Aunt"

Second. I haven't seen one complaint about Solas not conforming to the standards of male beauty(?) That women find attractive. You could easily say that women don't have all of the same tastes in men. (Not on BSN anyway, women don't make 86372 forums about male love interests not being attractive specifically Solas)

Tbh, I don't find Blackwall that attractive. And in real life I probably wouldn't give a guy who looks like Solas a chance. Iron Bull may not be someone's cup of tea either.

Men keep saying that women have the better hand, when you need to consider that two of the straight male LI's are race gated.

There were actually quite a Number of complaints for Solas' appareance when he was first shown.

But now there isn't any, at least none that I have seen lately. When he was announced an LI I didn't see anyone talking about his looks, they were more concerned with the race-gate and being straight.

A few main characters with the possiblity of scripted unavoidable deaths no matter what decisions are taken.

Like having to pick either Warden commander (orlesian) /hero of ferelden or Hawke and you can't save both.

Not enough of „Orlesian Game".
Too much of combat.
Nothing else really.

Probably the real time missions if there is no way to do this faster. Also as previously said, if the levels are too long it will make for tedious re-plays.
Also concerned about the cap on potions as I always liked to be very well stocked, but hey ho I think I might be able to deal with it. We shall see.

If I had to guess, probably not being able to romance Leliana or Morrigan since they were love interests in DAO. From what it sounds like, romances will be rather limited as they are being divided evenly amongst straight, gay, or bisexual. I understand the reasoning, but I have a feeling people will not take kindly to the limited choices.

Well, i already dislike the romance options, so that.  The only 2 that sound interesting are for gay guys and straight women, neither of which is me.   So my Inquisitor will be apparently be celibate.

Or you could play as a gay guy or a straight woman Inquisitor? There's no rule that your PC has to be a perfect copy of you; I plan to play any number of opposite-gender playthroughs, including my first planned one.

from the stuff that ive seen.. im actually looking forward to DA:I.  im probably going to replay the older games again to get the saves and stuff i want.. also to refresh myself on all of the story bits.  but here is what i feel will be disliked:

the ending will amount to 3 choices.. good, bad, neutral.  the "40 endings" will be nothing more than very minor variations.. the overall storyarch will have little changes. also, all of the decisions you made up to that point.. meaningless.  note that this is just a prediction based on their history

the "vast" environments wont really be that "vast".

you wont be able to kill off characters.

you can only have access to 8 abilities at once.

the game will only be around 20 hours or so on average.. not the 50-150 hours that is being advertised... again, basing this off of previous history.

crafting wont really be that useful.. other than the system will get you potions and a few minor upgrades to your armor.
