If there's not at least a few people blasting it for not being like their favourite RPG game from a couple of decades ago...I'd probably be strangely disappointed.
The fact that it doesn't retcon DA2 out of existence. Cause some people are vindictive like that.
The 8 ability limit
The character creator. I always need everything to be perfect. If it is too generic (dark souls, oblivion), I whine because I can't make a good character and roleplay properly (even in non-RPGs or games where you wear helmets the entire time). If it's complex and extensive (dragon's dogma), I spend hours on perfecting it, only to find an angle in a cutscene I don't like, or I don't look as cool as the NPS, and start over. Although this is not the game's fault, it's mine for being to picky...
This before release?
Hate that its not released yet.
After? meh, don't care if others wont like it, I know I will.
I'll be 100% happy under these circumstances
1. Sera and I make it to the end as a couple.
2. Leliana lives
3. Hawke & Warden lives
Other than that, I'm happy.
I'm really seeing the 8 ability limit as something a lot of people here will complain about. Now the combat could be great, amazing, and wonderfully balanced, but people are still going to complain that it's arbitrarily limiting, BW hates PC users, consoles are apocalypse boxes of doom and so forth. Just thinking about it is... ugh.

I have to say, this is one of those things that I'm currently enjoying the most until I finally get to play it.
honestly.... I think many on the BSN will be disappointed the most by how some of their favorite characters either didn't talk enough, develop their character, how they made decisions, etc. These will be a very vocal minority that will fan the flames.
How Celene and Gaspard are handled in regard to the Elves.
How Celene and Gaspard are handled in regard to the Elves.
i would hate if i cant execute both of them and damage Orlais Empire to its destruction..i plan to kill all of their Chivaliers, Bards and destroy this filth from Thedas lands..those lands are deserved for elves, nevarrans and others like avvars
2 As it states in the character back story like it or not we have to assist the chantry at the start of the game if we play human.
As the youngest child of the Trevelyan noble house, you grew up in the Free Marcher city of Ostwick and have enjoyed a life of privilege. With close family ties to the Chantry, and many relatives among the priesthood and the templars, you were always expected to follow a similar path in service of the Maker—regardless of how you feel about the matter personally. Willing or unwilling, you were sent to the Chantry's conclave to assist relatives who sought to make peace between the templars and mages. It didn't go well.

3 As was rumored, BioWare's upcoming fantasy RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition will not offer new DLC characters, creative director Mike Laidlaw told Official Xbox Magazine. This is because doing so would require them to be on-disc, and BioWare won't do this in the wake of the on-disc controversy that dates back to 2012 and Mass Effect 3.

5 Not all but one would be nice.
Willingly, or unwillingly. It's not like your PC is blindly supporting the chantry and the noble family. Unless you want it to be like that. Mage origin is a good set up for anti-Templar,
3. Plans change. especially when EA will be wanting to make more money off of Bioware.
5. Josephine
She is as cute as a button

.
How about just wait until the game comes out and try it?
I dislike having demon's appear in DA:Inquisition, therefore I shall slay them all.
The same goes for anyone who disagree's with my better judgement.
If recent history is any guide, the thing people will like least will be my favourite part of the game.
For example, my favourite part of ME: Driving the Mako.
I loved the Mako... specially after I decided to stop trying to use it to climb vertical mountains and started to use it to run over Geth

On topic:
Everyone is different, everyone will dislike a different thing, so as a whole everything will be disliked?
So far, my main dislike is the mandatory Inquisitor, Warden, Hawke encounter. I will kill off all my Wardens and create a male Hawke as I never played one, so I have a total disconnect with them...
Gameplay-wise... class weapon restrictions
- their preferred sexuality didn't get to bang the companions they wanted
- their favorite faction didn't get a total victory, ideally by the player making one no-brainer choice
- their most hated faction did not get completely eradicated, ideally so badly that when their endgame result is uploaded to EA, it will not be present in any other player's next game either
- not enough Hawke
- not enough Warden
- too much Hawke
- too much Warden
- wrong Hawke
- wrong Warden
Just kidding, who would ever complain about that? ![]()
Here's mine.
1) 8 ability in combat lock which will inevitably lead to repeated ability spamming for boss fights and wave fights. This is called as "variety, strategy and tactics".
2) Weapon restrictions and calling it "more choices".
3) Everything is about LOLDPS. Seriously, the MMO genre, with its tank / DPS / healer / nuker BS game mechanic has ruined roleplaying games. As opposed to having character archetypes and roles like Barbarian, Paladin, Cleric, Ranger, Spellsword, Nightblade, Mage, Conjurer, Thief, Assassin, Bard, Alchemist, etc...Because you know, this is a role-playing game..Now all we care about is DPS and over the top MMO Flashy-ness.
4) Old butch aunt as a straight love interest, she should have been a lesbian love interest. Thank the gods for Josephine Montilyet, her writer, her voice actress and her animators.
5) The inevitably stupid and buggy DRM that will be in place which will require constant connection to LOLOrigin to validate game contents we legally bought. In the name of "security" and "piracy prevention" even though people can crack those nonsense no problem.
6) ME3-ification of the combat system. Health bars now look like ME, there is a revive system, healing is limited (at least in DA 2 we had an actual Creation school tree and Spirit Healer specialization). Next thing you know there will be sync-kills and medi gels in the form of Mythal's Favor because of multiplayer.
7) Lack of modding toolset. Witcher 3 comes with one and CDPR has much smaller budget that Bioware do. Also they give out free DLCs.

Sadly, this has already happened.Immature straight boys who think that a game has to fulfill their sexual fantasies will most likely the biggest crybabies. I can already imagine them complain that it's not fair that they get only two options while straight females get many more options and that the females are "ugly and manly".
This, too.Lastly, I think the next vocal group/s will complain why is Leliana alive or/and why they can't have sex with her.
What's this "8 ability problem"? This is the first time I read about it.
Regardless of how many spells or talents you learn, you can only have 8 of them and only use that said 8 in combat and during combat. You can switch them out while you are not in combat but in combat you can't.
Prepare for really long and dreary repeated ability spamming for boss fights and multiple wave fights.
This is apparently, tactical and strategic.

The tactical part of the combat is avoiding the use of of abilities until you can implement them as part of a combo. To reduce the boredom of watching your party slug it out in between button presses, having a box of popcorn on hand is recommended.
Absolutely nothing that I know of because I am gonna have learn to adapt to the changes of how this game now works. It is gonna be a new learning curve that I have to accept because it is not gonna change anytime soon.
No/low healing.
Poor QA/QC.
"Art direction" that is moving further away from my preference.
Insert any spec/detail/issue you can think of, add the words too much/not enough, with a sprinkle of like DAO/ME3/what I wanted/what they said they were going to deliver.
