While I eventually seek to obtain a NextGen console and proper modern gaming PC, in the immediate future this is not economically viable. In another soon to be released multi-gen RPG (Destiny) it was announced that characters/items/account progress would transfer to new generations of the same console brand, so that players who have not yet upgraded to a new platform would not have to start over again if/when they upgraded their consoles.
Since this is the first MP mode to exist simultaneously on two platform generations I was hoping the same would apply to our Inquisition characters, equipment unlocks, and possibly even trophies fir event challenges. Given how much effort it took to unlock every weapon, character, and piece of gear (along with the slow grind of I-V/I-X upgrade iterations) in ME3MP I was sincerely hoping that players going from Xbox360>XboxOne or PS3>PS4 could carry over and keep their account progress when making the switch
In fact, to go even further I think it would be wonderful if our progress could carry over to ALL platforms should we choose to purchase a copy of the game for each one.

Derek French is the dude I see answering 80% of questions like these, but he hasn't posted in the multiplayer forums at all. I'd suggest remaking this in the 'scuttlebutt' forum. That seems to get more eyes.
