fatal is a strech but short of dying and being resurected theres no way to get clean. At worst you go mad at best suffer psychosisI'm reading the lyrium page on the wiki now, and I can't find any reference. Do we know if a templar can 'get clean' and get over his addiction? Or is it always fatal if they stop using?

I always was amused there were Lesser, Greater, and in-between Lyrium potions which are all the same size.
Someone's cutting the Lyrium quality.
You need the good stuff, man.
That would be the Master Lyrium potions then, you either pay a fortune for them or employ your own 'Healer' to make you the good stuff.

It's first order only, any further orders and he needs to pay. Fereldan is lovely and I love dogs, so I'll happily take it off his hands.

I fully maintain that Cullen's hallucinations of Amell mage and crazy ranting at the end of the Mage quest in the Tower weren't due to demons tormenting him but the fact he was going through lyrium withdrawal.
Which...honestly, is entirely possible.
Lyrium is a hell of a drug.

They were, absolutely. The demon only gave him the hallucinations about Surana or Amell. The ranting, shouting, lashing out, paranoia, weepiness etc are all well-recorded symptons of lyrium withdrawal, which he had to be going through for at least a couple weeks by the time you get to the tower (seeing as you hear rumors of the disaster as far back as in Lothering). Most of what people consider just Cullen being a jerk in that scene is actually Cullen going through weeks of withdrawal from a drug that's killing his nervous system each day he stays in that cage.

Y'know, when you put it that way, it makes sense. I still think the torture he went through played a part in his ranting, but the Lyrium withdrawal definitely adds to it.
Which means, as one post said, it could be possible for us to see it again if Cullen is taken captive if we send him to Redcliffe and they deprive him of Lyrium.

Cullen: THE MAGES! FILTHY MAGES! I'LL KILL YOU ALL! I'LL EAT YOUR HEARTS! I'LL BUTCHER...
Inquisitor: *gives him an injection in the neck*
Cullen: Oh....thank you, Maker. Oh, yeah, that's the stuff. I love you man.
Varric: I'm going to need to spruce this up for the chronicle.

...Well, maybe not speaking of filthy mages...XD I don't think my mage would take that well.
