Ah.What I do with cunning is naturally raise it to the point where I can afford the first three levels of coercion. Then I rely on the bonuses you get at the Circle Tower to raise it further and don't bother with it any more than that. I'm still able to make any persuasion check I want and I get a good deal of Cunning options in dialogue as well.

I put extra points to be safe, even after taking the last level of coercion. I've found even with all four levels, your actual stats still play a part in opening up extra dialogue - usually resulting in the Warden being more perceptive than they would be otherwise. I find that fun. Besides, after five full playthroughs, sometimes I don't feel like seeking out the extra fonts in the Fade, despite knowing where they are. I don't despise the Fade section of the Circle as some do, but it does feel at least a little tedious after a few go rounds.

As for criticism, well DalishRanger covered pretty much all I had to say (curse you time difference between USA and Europe!!
You have a very readable style, not heavy at all, and I find that your scenes are very "visual" a bit like movie shots and that make your stories very fluid.
PS : thanks for the link to the Art of Manliness, very intersting reading,
EDIT : By the way "Alistair's Harem" gave me an idea for a short funny (I hope) thing, I'll create a new thread once it's done)

And thank you for the compliment, sir. Truly, it makes me feel quite a bit better about my writing. I normally first imagine a scene in my head and then try to convey that scene in words. I've noticed that it's taken me less words than perhaps others use to write the same scene and for a while I was wondering if it might be a fault on my part. Your compliment does a lot to alleviate that fear.
No problem. And be sure to let me know when you make the thread, I'll want to read it.

Well, if I recall correctly from the last time I was in Paris, you're about... Six or so hours ahead of my time zone? So
technically, you should see these things and post long before I do. Not my fault you're slacking. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]

Good descriptions always help, but just because someone uses more words doing so doesn't automatically make it better. And there is such a thing as too much description, I think. It's one reason I hated The Scarlet Letter. The entire first chapter's about a door. A door. Really, Hawthorne? Really?!

Something about this Taiyama seems a tad off but I just can't figure out what. Ah, well. He's close enough--good thing I don't stray far from presets--and if I figure it out I can always go back and change him. Thanks for the comments, guys and gals.

It's gonna snow. And here in Alabama, that means a nigh public disaster, complete with food hoarding, lost power, car crashes, and all that fun stuff. Even if it's only a few inches. Yeah, we Southerners are wussies when it comes to snow. We just can't cope.
But it DOES mean that I don't have classes tomorrow or the Macroeconomics test I was meant to take. This leaves me with a lot more free time than I thought I had, so let's get another update typed out before the snow starts and the power loss hits.

Yeah, she just had her right knee replaced a few weeks back; had her left one replaced last year. While she's recovering, my brother and I have to take turns doing a morning/afternoon shift helping her get around the house. It's not so bad, since she can do most things on her own at this point (and I love my mama.
Speaking of which... I have morning shift, which means I'm supposed to be getting up in a few hours. Ha... Better go to bed.

Good luck! Gotta make a few business phone calls, and then on with the sketching!
EDIT: Mostly done with the picture. Will post in my fan art thread when finished.

All right, sorry for not, you know, posting anything. I haven't even started on the latest chapter because I've been too busy either marveling at the snow or reading "The Stolen Throne". Maric is awesome. Also, I built my first snowman ever and took pictures of it!
But enough of my lollygagging, I need to actually do something productive today. TO MICROSOFT WORD!
