Well, here is a feed on the next Mass Effect - a recent news ....................seems like no keeps and things - its the same Mass Effect import the save game.
Whats new is that , the player can choose multiple characters for different storylines - so you can be a human on earth, asari on thessia, krogan on tuchanka or turian on palaven. Now thats really exciting !!!!

What remains to be seen if it is in aftermath of reaper war............or not.
The species of humans and the Krogans are making a sure shot return -(glad I cured their genophage !!! or else -who wants to be on the bad side) - not so sure about Salarians though :P

Here is a link which describes pretty much in short - though the title of the article is a bit disappointment at end.

I probably shouldn't be surprised by that statement adding up the totals I think I've spent close to $100 on ME DLC and never spent a cent on anything else outside of the franchise. :) Agreed.

For some reason, same here. Well, usually I get the DLCs of other games with GOTY Editions. But the ME Series was the only one, where I was ok with paying for them when they came out.

I always wanted something new for ME4, it's the only right way to go. I didn't want them to make the same mistake Disney did with Star Wars. Disney is working on Star Wars: Episode VII. This is a weak idea. Just like Mass Effect 4 would be a weak idea. Most people want something new, even if they loved the original story. Luckily we know BioWare is doing the right thing. The big question is how will they deal with the link between this new trilogy and the original trilogy?

The story of ME 1,2,3 with Shepard and the Reapers at the center will be the basis for understanding the Mass Effect Universe, just like Star Wars: Episode IV, V, VI are the basis for understanding the Star Wars Universe, this is not going to change, this is what happened. The events of ME3 however are so extreme that making a new game, in which the story is set after the events of ME3, can be very problematic. No matter how far into the future you set this story of ME4, the aftermath of the Reaper invasion will have an impact on the Universe we experience in ME4, and like someone pointed out earlier, three of the four endings can be very problematic to implement, if not impossible; destroy is the only ending that would allow the ME Universe to continue without becoming unrecognizable or too complicated.

I would however support something similar to the Dragon Age: Keep. Let's call it, Mass Effect: Galaxy. This could allow everyone to import their Galaxy state into ME4. This is however impossible for BioWare to accomplish. The contrast between the different endings are so great that their respective consequences will result in four very different Galaxies. BioWare can't make four different games for us.

So I don't think it makes any sense right now to talk about importing saved games into ME4.

Not likely. SHepard's story is over. Why bother importing the files? It has no impact on the new hero. It's their story, not Shepard's.

I agree, although the name 'Mass Effect: Galaxy' is already taken.

I think they should canonize the scenario where the reapers were destroyed, then use a Genesis system to select options regarding the genophage, Quarians, Rachni, etc.

If it goes backwards or forwards im in,Like the quarians and the geth,-the story of how they made them and the battle thay had with them after Creation,

Or even the first contact war,

but maybe a new galaxy new enemy that would be insane 2.

the possibilitys are endless,

Do you honestly think they'd make Synthesis or Control an available choice for canon in ME4??  I enjoyed the Synthesis ending (having played the series the first time back in May of this year,) but no way.  I don't think so, anymore than I think the Control aka Cyber Messiah ending would ever happen.  Both endings change far too much of the status quo in too much of a drastic way to them to be plausible.

This was sort of my main problem with the ending of the series, actually. They really painted themselves into a corner in regards to making any future games. I wish the options at the end were to either use all of the Mass Relays to destroy all the Reapers, but the relays themselves would be irreparably destroyed and millions of people would end up dying due to being stranded in the middle of nowhere (Renegade), or use all of the Mass Relays to throw the Reapers as far as they are capable of getting them, likely multiple galaxies away. The Relays are damaged in the process, how it's possible that, in time they could be fixed. But the majority of the Reapers are also still alive, and it's possible that, in time, they could return (Paragon).  But that's just me.

I´m sure Bioware´s programmers are capable of making ME4 read your ME3 Savegame. Probably not on those crappy consoles but for sure on pc.

Or better yet, they can make a Keep-style tool to read our savegames (if needed), and then make ME4 able to read that. That way we can change some of the decisions we made etc.

This is assuming any of them will be relevant of course, since it won't be Shepard's story.
