Nah, the Warden was a teenager, except for the DN, in DA:O while everyone else, except for Alistair, where in their mid-late twenties. 

 

The Warden was teens through early 20's, I'd say.  No reason why they had to be teenagers.  Leliana was probaby mid-20's.  Morrigan was supposed to be about Alistair's age, right? 

 

For Hawke, s/he's probably early 20's - late 20's throughout the course of the game.  I'd say Isabela, Anders, and Sebastian were about the same age (and probably a little older than Hawke).  Merill's probably younger.  No idea how to gauge Fenris' age.

Oddly enough, Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft (who played Mrs. Robinson) were only 6 years apart in real life.

 

So your argument is invalid 

 

Seriously though, the actual age of a character shouldn't impact whether or not you romance that character.

 

It's not as if the character is going to "die on you"

 

You should romance whoever appeals to you the most. If none of them do, that's not BioWare's fault. The writers can't account for the very particular tastes of each person who plays their games.

Alistar is 19 in DA:O, and Morrigan is stated to not be anywhere close to being a teenager. I figure she's 24-25, like Hawke.

Hawke is around 25 years old in Act I, which means he is around 32 in Act III.

So the HN and CE are teenagers.  The HM, DE, DN, and DC are teenagers to early 20's.  So......how's that different than what I said?

Basically the first time that any of the Dragon Age love interests are in their 30's or older. It's not the end of the world.

I'd argue with you over Morrigan's age, but I have nothing to back it up. I always thought she was slightly older than Alistair. I'd peg the Human Noble to be about 22 as well.

Yes, but I'm of a mind Hawke was nearing 24 nor actually 24 in the Prologue.

They're still treated as if they recently stopped being a child though. I doubt they're 25 and never experienced real battle. Even in peacetime.

Merrill is the same age as Bethany/Carver.

Bethany/Carver would be 28-29 by Act 3 right?

I know that. Twenty-two is just what my gut tells me. Old enough to be a man by modern standards, but still lacking in first hand experience.

I actually think the Inquisitor is potentially the oldest BioWare protagonist so far, with his 20-40 age range. That should be enough to reassure those who have a problem with wide age gaps, right?
