Act 3 is 7 years later. 25-26. And they were 17 in the prologue.
I thought Leandra said, "Eighteen years" when lamenting the death of the first sibling. So that would make the twins 18 in the Prologue, no?

They're still treated as if they recently stopped being a child though. I doubt they're 25 and never experienced real battle. Even in peacetime.
Not really. It is just the HN's mom who fuses about. Wouldn't call it atypical maternal behavior towards the youngest child.
Also, Highever has been one of the most prosperous and stable regions of Ferelden for decades, AND the HN is said to be the most talented fighter in the Teynir (or something to that effect), so while they lack actual combat experience, they still have enough trainning to master swordmanship (or any other type of fighting).

She did. Though now I think about it, I think there were some discrepancies about the age of the twins. But I am gonna go with what the mother said.
ahh i errored then... would explain why i got a kid sister vibe when my canon hawke romanced herMerrill is the same age as Bethany/Carver.
Today I learned Alistair is only 20 in Origins.
Totally thought he was 25 for some reason.
That is because that is the age he was originally intended to be. But now they went ahead and retconned him to actually be the son of Fiona, which requires him to be born 5 years later, than what the game suggests.
Fun fact: In the early concepts he was suppsoed to be even older. Up in his thirties. But that was basically en entirely different character (the polar opposite of Alistair even)
Actually, now that I think about it, wouldn't the mage Warden be older than Hawke? In the Amell family story in DA 2, I thought that Leandra's cousin had her mage child before Leandra ran off with Malcolm.

Huh.
Good to know.

The Calling is in 9:10 Dragon, tho. Which would make Alistar 19.

DA:O is in 9:30. 9:30-9:31 to be exact.

5 of her 6 children were mages.
Warden: 19-28
Lelianna:25-28
Zeveran: 25-29
Alistair:20(born 9:10)
Morrigan:21-23
Hawke 24-25 (act 1) 27-28 (act2) 30-31(act3)
Merril:22-29 by act 3
Izzy: late 30s by act3
Fenris: mid 30s act 3
Anders: mid- late 30s act 3
Sebastion: 28 by act 3
Merril's age seems very young in that chart.
It would make her max 19 during the start of DAO. She was already the First back then, wasn't she?
So old how she have been when se gained that title?
DA:O is in 9:30
30-10-.75=19.25 years
5 of her 6 children were mages.
Is there anything that contradicts the Warden being the first one? That is what I always assumed, although admittedly that's mostly because I think it's more dramatic that way.

We don't know WHEN in 9:10 Alistair was born, or WHEN in 9:30 DA:O takes place. Hence we round up and say Alistair is 20. For simplicity's sake.

I thought that the first game started in 9:30 Dragon. Wouldn't that make Alistair 20?

Why should you round up with ages? At the end, I'd agree he's 20, but not before then.

Holy s...
they may even the same age or more likly leandra heard from gamlen cause the harrowing happens(tradionally in early 20s or late teens.) My mage warden did at 20 (assumption)Actually, now that I think about it, wouldn't the mage Warden be older than Hawke? Ahh, differences in approach.
Perhaps "19-20" is the best thing to say, given the confusion here.
Why should you round up with ages? At the end, I'd agree he's 20, but not before then.
As I said: For simplicity's sake. If all you are told is the birth year, then you round up, to keep it simple.

Nothing's stopping it, but Leandra would have spoke of them as being the eldest instead of "one of my cousin's" I'd think.
rough estimates based on general consensus not official so i may be wrong lolMerril's age seems very young in that chart. It would make her max 19 during the start of DAO. She was already the First back then, wasn't she?So old how she have been when se gained that title?
