As I said: For simplicity's sake. If all you are told is the birth year, then you round up, to keep it simple.
It matters little, not that big a deal, I'll admit. Just saying.

Nothing's stopping it, but Leandra would have spoke of them as being the eldest instead of "one of my cousin's" I'd think.
Nah, not necessarily. I guess we just know it wasn't the one non-mage.
age is only a number. And a lot of people in their 20ies have been through more and harder times than others in their 50ies. Its mostly about who, what, where, when, why.
I can definitely get behind this.

In my experience, the oldest and the youngest are always singled out among children. While it may not be "necessarily" true, it happens more often than not.
Sera, Dorian and Josephine look like that could pass for young. Mid-20s maybe?
I'd put Dorian and Josephine down for early to mid-30s
Sera looks like she could be mid-20s

Well.. The Dwarven Noble was the middle child... Just saying ![]()

That's why s/he wasn't murdered or betrayed until they became the oldest.

Meh. It happens sometimes; othertimes not. I don't think it's such a given that it excludes the Warden being her first though. I think it's just safe to say that it's one of her 5 mage kids and leave it at that. I don't see any reason why Leandra saying, "One of Revka's kids" would rule out it being the eldest or youngest.

Frankly I don't know if I'm more shocked about five out of her six children being mages or about her having six children to begin with ![]()
Not strange, but just imagine being the parent of those children.
Or worse, one of them ![]()

I don't either, as I said. Nothing's stopping anything with these "age ranges." for the Warden.
These characters are all too young.
They need to add a couple of 60's characters who know what's what and how to live life. These youngsters haven't lived, we need ones like Pierce Brosnan and Sting or YES Liam Neeson, Get rid of Cass bring in Sigourney Weaver or Helen Mirren who was totally cool and sexy in RED 2 with that sniper rifle and black hose.
Get rid of Cass.
Oh now you dun fucked up.
Oh now you dun fucked up.
I know,
Cass is actually one of my favorite characters. Just at 63 all of them are young. Age is really so unimportant as long as there is a range and they have a range of ages. My characters are usually set between 27 and 39. GREAT ages. Hated my teens and 20's. ![]()
I played a few games years ago where the 26 year old looked 10, so distrubing, BioWare is so much better. No matter what their ages, they look like adults.
Today I learned Alistair is only 20 in Origins.
Same. But it does explain alot. God he annoyed me.
LMAO. I know right. My Inquisitor shall be dubbed "Herald of the Cougar-Hunters" in my first play through.
LOL you are right.
I would most likely play as male Inquisitor in his mid-20s. Josephine is in her early 30s and Cassandra is in her mid-late 30s. At the very least, there is a 5-6 year difference.
Cradle Robber Women ftw. ![]()
Its not the time that matters... Its the person.
I'm glad the companions are older. It gets real hard to play a game where the protag is like 17 or 18 but looks like a child.
And you know, it's hard for me to romance someone that young. So for once, I'm happy and don't really care that younger players are the ones having the issue. ![]()

See: Almost every JRPG ever. I hear where you are coming from there. ![]()
I haven't noticed many complaints among the younger posters either, just a few that are unhappy with the age range. In general, most of the forums seems at least curious about the LIs, and age seems to have very little to do with it. For me, the age difference doesn't bother me. If, say, I choose Blackwall, then the character is about 5-10 years older than I am.
I've noticed that age differences become overall much less important as time goes on. My best friend's girlfriend is 13 years older than he is; he's 35 and she's 48. While they have fights and bicker like any other couple would, the age difference is rarely brought up. Most of the time I don't think about it. It really doesn't factor into their relationship. They love each other, have been a healthy couple and are really a good match.
As far as I'm concerned, that's ultimately the only thing that matters. If you're happy, and in a healthy relationship with someone you can like as well as love, then age is merely a number. ![]()
I'm fine with the possible age differences, I tend to be attracted to older women anyway... they tend to have a certain charm younger women lack ![]()
I'm 20, and usually play at that age in game. So it'll be interesting to see how the others treat Cole, who is supposed to be in that age range. Granted, I'm not a slightly naive possessed corpse with very probable social development issues.
I've little to no problem with age discrepancy's in fictional characters who I can probably head canon as any age I like, anyway. Blackwall seems the oldest, and is too much like my Dad for me to want to go there in the first place. Either way, as long as relationships between adults are healthy age isn't a huge issue. ![]()
Personally, I enjoy a good age-difference romance (I'm still sad that the two older guys are both straight, Solas and Blackwall, as I'd totally have romanced one of them just for the age-difference).
Also, toss me into the camp who's happy that the companions are a bit older in this game. It's kind of nice to be shown that adventuring isn't just for 12-20 year olds. ![]()
