If you can still initiate a romance cutscene with Merrill that means you didn't lock in Bela's romance yet, right? I'm under the impression that once a romance is 'locked in' stuff like that becomes impossible for other characters that aren't your chosen LI. So you probably just locked in Merrill's with that cutscene. You may want to reload and unfortunately be a meanie if you wanted to go with Bela. xD

Wrapped up all Isabela's romance stuff for Act 2, but I don't think it locks in for her until The Last Straw when you're exchanging final words with your companions. 

 

 

Anyway, decided to just rip the bandaid off and just end it when she walks in. (I had an Auto-Save from just as the dialogue starts)

Isabela's and Fenris' romances don't lock up until A3, and even then you have the chance to reject them. Unlike Anders' and Merrill's, which are locked once you let one of them move into your home after sex scene.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I have romanced Bela quite a few times but never noticed.

Aw come on! that's not fair! Isabela slept with anything that move, and she goes with Zevran even if you're in a relationship with her. Can't take the taste of your own medicine, Rivaini? I swear it was an accident! I was trying to help Merril with that mirror honest! then I can't just resist her puppy eyes and that cuteness.
