Top Gear UK

Because it is the best TV show...in the world.

In the world? No. But it is awesome! The best episodes are the ones where they travel through large areas. Like India.

Good night, sweet prince. :( :crying:

Also, I could never get into Dr. Who but I do love Torchwood.

+100 for Todd and the Book of Pure Evil.

-50 for liking Torchwood.

The Wire cause Omar Little

Apparently HBO is going to have it back soon, in an HD treatment. Surprising because I remember the creator stating it was never meant to have more than standard, purposely made to be in standard... but hey, Wire's coming back!

My favorite show currently on is Gravity Falls. An animated Disney channel show that's back for it's second season. The show is set in my home state, the main characters are twins Dipper & Mable. The town is a vortex of mystery & the twins are investigating. Really fun show, may it infect you all!

House of Cards (Kevin Spacey, Intrigue, Politics)

Angel (Best "Good Vampire" series ever)

Community (Funny group of people in a crappy community college)

Heroes (some people with supernatural powers, some goes nuts, some remain good)

Axe Cop (A cop with an axe, with funny sidekicks, absurd reasoning!)

Justice League (There's all famous DC superheroes in one show, dammit!)

Adventure Time (NUFF SAID)

The Legend of Korra (Good story, cool characters)

Blake and Mortimer (based on detective comic series, 50s-60s theme with sci-fi elements)

Tin Tin (like above without sci-fi or very least of it)

The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack (cool dirty navy life for children!)

One Piece (Cool, hilarious, awesome art)

My list turned cartoonish so fast!

Since many have mentioned the US remake of House of Cards, I'd recommend the original UK version with the late, great Ian Richardson.

I hope this video has the ones I like:

Oh it didn't have the Poirot, good old Sherlock Holmes and a few others.

I can second the recommendation of Orphan Black; what that show is able to do with ever-shifting tonality (moving from straight-ahead scifi stuff to suburban dark comedy and back again within the space of an hour) is unbelievable. And the show is pretty darn frenetic with its pacing; whatever else you'll be, you'll never be bored. The second season is weaker than the first; the show gets a little too into its own lore and backstory at times, and some of the plot threads (i.e. the Proletheans) don't work at all, but there's still plenty of great stuff interspersed throughout (especially everything involving Alison Hendrix).

The Wire cause Omar Little

Don't forget about Bunny, Stringer and Cool Lester Smooth. :)

I'm tired of watching 'everyone is piece a sh*t - dark/grey setting' kind of series. At least put some good people in it and make them victorious, so I can be motivated to watch.

The lighting and the ambience of some of these movies/TV shows has changed over the past years. Most people are going for that gritty, dark and brooding feel. The worst example of that I have ever seen is.

Yes, it happened fast since 2008 I think.

I don't agree about Superman though.

Omar is overrated. Stringer Bell, now that's a gangster and a gentleman. McNulty and Kima on the police side of things.

As the obvious good shows have been metioned like a hundred times already (GoT, OB,...) my vote goes to The IT Crowd. It's top Brittish humour (imo) and the situations are just so recognisable! (We're all nerds here, right?)

the-it-crowd-50a7548234752.jpg

Lost Girl is also one of my favs, even though I must admit season 4 was kind of lame imo. Season 5 will be the last one so let's hope it'll be better :) It's a show about Fae, beings with all kinds of powers. You have the dark fae, and the light fae (I know, original XD) and Bo, a succubus who refuses to choose a side. As you could have guessed, the show revolves around her.

From my list, would recommend: Castle, Bones, The Blacklist, Arrow, Blue Bloods, The Mentalist, Person of Interest, NCIS, and Elementary. Have no clue of the coming shows except The Flash.

You should give this one a go because it actually funny and not forced. I remember watching big bang theory and I completely hated it. Jim parson nails the part of dropping science references with an awkward tone but the comedic content is just not there. I remember he mentioned linux once and people were laughing and don't get me started on the dreaded "algorithm for fun scene" and forced in romance plots.

The IT crowd is actually smart about using their comedic content for their references.

Speaking of Stringer Bell, Idris Elba stars in LUTHER, a gritty, british, very well written detective thriller. Available on Netflix afaik. Highly recommended.
