I wanted to SEE the Quarians get blasted into oblivion, not just hear it.

One thing I think they could have done is show the interior of the cargo hold of a typical civilian ship. We're told that their holds are partitioned into living space for families (think pod hotels in Japan).

CapsuleHotel.jpg

The cubes are full of civilians. There aren't enough escape pods for a fraction of those on board, and nowhere to go in them even if there were. All they can do is huddle with their families, listening to their ship's cannon fire reverberating through the hull and waiting for the unseen impact which will pulverize them all.

Focus on one family in their cube, adorned with colorful quilts to muffle noise as per the codex. A mother and father sitting against the wall in their suits, a child, uncomprehending, in a transparent bubble clutched between them. The first and only time we see a Quarian not in their suit, seconds before a flash to white cutting to an exterior shot as their ship vanishes in a globe of fire backlit by many others.

Hey, if we're butchering an entire species, let's not hide from what's happening. Shepard made the call. Own it.

Personally, I'd have added a full conversation tree where you phone up Gerrel after he returns to his ship and he explains the rationale for the invasion, showing you camera footage of one of these holds as part of explaining why they needed to offload the civvies so the holds could be used as Hackett needed for logistical support, but that's another essay.

I'd add a whole lot of cutscenes to priority earth showing non selected Squaddie and former squaddie NPC's and key allies in action, with various different outcomes based on tasks/suitability/War Assets accumulated. They could cut the disaster that is starbrat from the game completely and assign all those cutscenes to make priority earth a true suicide mission with a vastly different feel based on player choice.

First, I'd like to point out that the poster you replied to is really butthurt that I made him look dumb in another thread, and is now quite amusingly attempting to bait me. The post probably wasn't serious, and if it was.....well.

On the content of your post, such a scene would have been an excellent addition and would have balanced the conflict's up to that point completely one-sided pathos appeals, but unfortunately doesn't fit with the rest of the narrative's theme that the quarians were supposed to be portrayed emotionally as petty, bumbling villians. The scene that we do get, where Han'Gerrel alone proceeds with a supposedly foolhardy attack (nevermind that his erstwhile allies on the surface, Shepard and Tali/Raan withheld important tactical information about the geth upgrade from him for no apparent reason) that the rest of the obviously all military quarian species follows to their doom willingly was far more consistent with what the rest of the game was selling. You're supposed to feel sympathy for the geth, which is why they got a propaganda video and the quarians didn't. It's why you can call Admiral Xen insane and punch Gerrel, but can't even attempt to reason with Pinnochio/Brutus-bot about the implications of the Reaper kool-aid.

As for such a scene with Gerrel, are you insane? Why would we humanize him? He's clearly a one dimensional caricature of an unhinged anti-synthetic racist, nevermind that he brought up exactly that strategic point in a previous game.

And my point is, there is no satisfying that with Liara. It's why some people perceive her as a "pet". Even if one tries to be renegade with her, she seems to like the abuse and sticks around like a best friend. And the only reason her fans make excuses is because she's their pet too.

If you're mean to her, she reminds me of the girl who stalked Wayne in Wayne's World.

That is true Liara won't back off but part of that comes from the fact that she more then anyone else in the galaxy knows and understands the scope of the threat thanks to those melds back in me1. Even if you were mean to her back then she will want to help you if only to save the galaxy. Despite the fact that the dislike Liara should have been done better her being there and helping makes sense, she just should have been more like an ice queen instead.

My idea was to move the Korris mission crash site to one of the Quarian cities. At one point, preferably from a higher vantage point, Shepard and friends have to move through a relatively intact portion of the living quarters on his ship. One of the walls or something like that would be torn down and you can see the a good shot of Quarian architecture next to what they had to live in now, so you can get the juxtaposition of what they lost and what they had to gain.

Yeah, I gotta give her that credit that too.

A few examples I could think of quickly:

Renegade interrupt with Ashley in ME1 when she started to talk about aliens.

A confrontation in Omega if you take Tali there with you in ME2 and Fist is alive. She would confront him, and then a paragon interrupt would come up. If you did not use the interrupt to calm down Tali she would electrocute Fist Overload-style using her omni-tool. Shepard would then say that he should have let Wrex finish his job. If you managed to dissuade Tali, she would simply call Fist a bosh'tet and leave.

A chance to hit Diana Allers live on camera in the same way you can always hit the other reporter when she made inappropriate questions.

Not a cutscene, but an option to explore the collector ship in ME2 using the hammerhead with only a small segment being on foot. Even the boss battle could be made inside the vehicle. The place looks large enough to accommodate it. Do you guys remember the scene with the shuttle inside the reman/romulan ship in star trek nemesis? It´s one of the few moments worth remembering from the movie.

A scene in Citadel featuring a talk between Liara and Samara. They could talk about their lives or the hope even after Thesia having fallen. If Javik was recruited, he could supplement the scene.

In a nod to Morrigan in DA1, Admiral Xen could state during a conversation that " Zaal'Koris does not love me."

Again not exactly a cutscene, but in Citadel you could be able to use profiles for deceased or unavailable persons. The Virmire victim, Wreav, Aria, her assistant, Bray, Saren, Legion, Barla Von, Anderson...

Also, it could be possible to have a few comical stages, with joke weapons like spraying paints on the enemies, even having 2 teams made of people from the normandy crew or bots of preserved personalities and profiles.

An entire Salarian group inside the normandy in me3, so I could have a conversation between Mordin, Kirrahe and Padok. It´s a shame we never see them together.

In ME3, if you prevented the young lady from committing suicide in ME1 (colonist origin) or helped the traumatized veteran (spacer origin) they would make a cameo in the citadel refuge center. If toombs is also alive, he could help fight cerberus. Perhaps even giving an interview to the reporter.

Veetor could also return in ME3. Since he is with the migrant fleet he could pay Tali a visit. If Javik were present Veetor would be startled by him, triggering his memories about the Collectors attacking the human colony.

And of course, several worlds, groups and individuals would receive epilogues DA1 style in the ME3 ending, being narrated by the guy who voices the codex as if it was a matter of ancient galactic history.

I think the woman from ME 1 does make an appearance in ME 3. I might be mistaken but isn't that her that saves Conrad Verner's life in the refugee center?

That's Jenna, the bartender at Chora's Den whom you convince to return to Flux. Talitha (the woman from Colonist origin) sends an E-mail to Shepard in ME2 but is not present in ME3.

No cimematics, I would just have taken this into account:

30m0391.jpg

Global racial distribution. Notice how white people are only 16%, and Asians over 50%.

That's all.

Zaeed or Grunt dropping enemies like they're flies. Something similar to this scene from Expendables but with the Typhoon

I think I recommended something like that once. Looking over the city, there could have been some commentary on the Geth extermination of the Quarians which took place in the Morning War, then inside the cargo hold of the crashed ship you see firsthand what the descendants of the survivors have been reduced to. We have one mission which crams the Geth message down your throat, the other could have shown the perspective of the other side just as plainly by doing so.
