In the first two games codex entries are always all over the world and go into your codex which you can read at any time.

The thing is that I never feel like taking 5 minutes to read an abstract of one of the many books Brother Geniviti wrote.

I'm sure there are other people who don't feel like doing this.

So I thought, what if BioWare released a smartphone app on which you can log on with your EA account and on that app you can read all the codex entries that you unlock within the game. People probably always have some time here and there to read them when they're not playing the game.

To improve the usefulness of the app they could also just allow users to post on this forum with it.

Any opinions?

I'm not sure what a "mp app" could possibly do in Inquisition. It reminds me of that completely idiotic and absurd app in BF4 where one guy sits around with a tablet in his hand and presses 1 button to unleash an airstrike once an hour. Sadly EA owns Dragon Age as well and I really hope that this is not the kind of app they are working on.

Nevertheless no matter what app they are creating, adding codex entries when they're unlocked to it shouldn't be too much work.

Wow, that would actually be very nice. I know I've spent a lot of time reading codex entries during the game, so I wouldn't mind having this option too.

You could read many, if not all of the codex entries online in DA:O (and DA2 I think) if you chose to let the EA servers upload character info to the BSN in the game options. You could also review your story progress, equipped gear, stats, talents, abilities and appearance online by doing this. Not sure how well it worked on smartphones/tablets.

I'd be very surprised if this feature didn't return in Inquisition, probably as part of the Keep (and as such I'd expect it to have improved functionality across all devices). The Keep is not an app, though, but it is designed to work well on smartphones/tablets.

Damn, I didn't know that. I would have saved myself a lot of time. Since DA:I will have a real-time mechanic, it would be nice to log off and read in peace the codex entries.

They will eventually wind up on the wiki, app or no.  You could always just read them there.

Would much prefer an in game library at Skyhold built on the idea of easy access codex entries. As for the op's request, why not? Shouldn't this be in Feedback & Suggestions though?
