The helmet looks badass.
Too bad I'll have the hide helm toggle on for DAI!

You know, several folks in this thread have said they don't like the helmet, but they like what the forum has dubbed "The Sex Hat".
Whereas, I adore the helmet and honestly think "The Sex Hat" looks absolutely ridiculous.
I wonder if there is any sort of totally-irrelevant-but-vastly-amusing correlation at work here in regards to headgear tastes among forumites...
Well thank goodness for Hide Helmet option.
I'd just wear a hood, or a crown. Something that looks regal - ribbons with cool designs, or Elizabethan hats (the hats with the feather and all hat).
I like that helmet, actually. However, I agree, Bioware has proven that, when it comes to helmets, too much creativity can indeed be a bad thing.
I think it looks pretty nice. It needs to come with heavy armor, but as far as fantasy helmets go it's a pretty good effort.
I would prefer a nice, actual closed helm, like those of the Templars. But it's a far cry from being as bad as the Origins mage abominations.
Its hard for a company to lead off with the most epic looking thing in the game strait away. I doubt your going to find super duper cool looking stuff right away like some of the Skyrim armour mods.
That and everybody's idea of epic-looking is totally different.
Let's put things into prespective and view some past helmets/Armor from Bioware

......yeah I'm good with the new Helmet.
HAHAHAHA OMG those Neverwinter Nights helms. "Why has my head suddenly turned into a bucket?" "Wait, here's a circlet, maybe that will . . . nope. Still bucket."
About all you could do was to pour some soup in there for a snack.
I would fight all the demons in the fade butt-naked if I could keep the helmet!

I don't have any opinion on the helmet.
I hate the hat.
I want Cole's hat. ![]()
No problem with the helmet. If I can't hide Cole's hat, he's staying at the keep or not getting recruited, though. I will not tolerate poor taste in headwear in this Inquisition.
lol until now i never even noticed the cheek guards are actually the wings of that dragon. I like the helmet but i still feel the guards are a bit too big
I think it looks ok, it's more or less functional at least unlike a lot of fantasy stuff.
Although the wing tips at the bottom would probably make in impractical to ever look down and the thickness of the metal would mean it weight half a ton but thats just nitpicky.
I find it a bit weird the amount of gear that isn't armor though some of the stuff on rogues looks like it belongs in the musket era

Corinthian helmets anyone?
I have the helmet as my PC's wallpaper.
I love the helmet. I guess it depends on taste. I don't mind a little bit of artistic design on armor but I find armor that looks "useful" and has utility as look a lot better than crazy fanciful armor. The inquisitor Helm looks like it could protect your head and your face effectively and it has that little bit of art with the wings covering the face and the head peering over your forehead. So for me I look at: Utility first, then art design.
I have the helmet prop on my knee in the pic in my sig. I thought about wearing it but I didn't want to obscure my face. ![]()
I don't think the helmet is ugly. I hate the sight of it now though, since it has covered the Inquisitor's face in every piece of promotional material (except the qunari of course).

What's the name of the NWN helmet? i don't remember it, it's a mod?
I don't want helmets or hats for my inquisitor. Hoods ftw!

Corinthian helmets anyone?
Spoiler
Except of course that people that use thoses do complain about thoses helmets cracking you in the chest and if you look at how helmets evolved the Corinthian helmet is sort of an outligher in its shape in fact in later helmets of the same era they rounded away the bottom of the cheeck guard in the Chalcidian helmets.
Love the helmet and it's design (dragoooon) but not for a rogue or mage, I prefer hoods then, maybe there'll be dragon themed hoods ? I'm really excited about the new weapons and armors design, can't wait to find them in game.
