As the romance 'discussion' continues to fill page after page on the forum,

I thought I'd revisit the Poll that ran a few weeks ago, which around 3,200 people filled in.

 

I'm not sure whether the most active posters in the romance threads are representative of the general sentiment or not, so there's only one way to find out.

 

Usual disclaimer applies: This survey is just for fun, is not a competition and no value judgements are implied or intended. Statistical significance is not guaranteed. This fan survey is unconnected with BioWare who own the characters. Results are immediately displayed, so nothing is hidden. 

 

The main survey question is:

 

Who will be THE character that you are MOST interested in romancing in DAI?

 

There will also be a chance to note everyone you plan to romance at some point.

and there's an optional question as well about what you think of the romances generally.

I was pretty surprised when I saw as well, considering the new race gating info o.O. Is the survey new or just updated with new choices? Could explain it.

I voted and then re-clicked because I wanted to show my hubby what I voted, only to find I could vote again. That might skew the results.

I picked Josephine, as this is probably the character I will romance on my first playthrough. 

Overall, Solas is probably a character I would pick if it was not in the romance context. He is the character I'm most excited to meet in this game, so I can understand why he leads the competition so far.

 

I'm quite suprised however, that Blackwall is scoring so lowly.

If it's old then it explains why some results have a pretty big advantage over others, yeah.

Dorian is almost certainly my first romance.  I love redemption stories, and the redeemers themselves always end up being my favorite characters.  I mean, I'm not ignorant to the chance that I might actually dislike him, but I'm staying hopefully positive.

This was first voted on one month ago, but folk can change their mind in the light of new information.

I think the survey is the same as before and all the votes from before are still there and it's re-opened so people can add to it. That's likely the only reason Solas is still so far ahead, though I love him! Maybe it's worth it to start a new survey?

It's kind of a tie for me with Sera and Solas, since I have to choose one I voted for Solas.
