I'm not in trouble at the moment just curious. Do you know what exactly I'm doing when I do this: i47.tinypic.com/nq1kx.jpg

What does it mean when I put  beside string 8000000, and so on?

This is creating the string table that will be used as the talk table (the exported file will end with the extension tlk); you need to put the string numbers in the CLA_base.xls and ABI_base.xls files, then compile them with ExcelProcessor using the batch file.

So, this is probably a bad thing, but for the "cleaning up" section: i47.tinypic.com/2i8au5c.jpg

I don't have the sys_chargen.ncs
file, I do have a sys_chargen_engine.nss though?

Anyone know why this is? What I did? How to fix it? And how long should I cry?

sys_chargen.ncs is the compiled version of sys_chargen.nss; sys_chargen.nss and sys_chargen_h.nss are found in the same place as the 2da_constants_h.nss, but in the _Systems folder (sys_chargen_h will be in the Includes folder inside _Systems).

And a third problem has arisen, I moved on anyways, and I recieved a
problem that is solved by the 'troubleshooting" section of the
tutorial. It says I didn't export my "<classname>_default.utc"
So, I went back and did this, and I don't know where its exporting it
too... I can't find the file or anything...

My Documents\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<your addin name>\\core\\override\\toolsetexport\\ or My Documents\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<your addin name>\\module\\override\\toolsetexport\\ for anything specific to your module; Core game Resources will go to My Documents\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override\\toolsetexport\\

Thank you, I couldn't solve the problem so I uninstalled both the game and the toolset, and deleted all the extra files I had left (Doubt I was supposed to have some left over, but I deleted them anyways) Thank you for all the help you have given, I plan to restart again Wednesday. Hopefully this time I'll have less snafus thanks to all the help/knowledge I've gotten from you guys,

Thanks again!

Hey, I've been doing some thinking, and what would/should I do if I want the game to interact with my new class as if it were just a regular mage? I've been reading on the Cleric class that was created, and its having problems being recognized in dialogue, and when it reaches the "Reflection Room" in the gauntlet.

You have to edit the dialogs in the game to enable it to recognize custom classes; I'm going to be doing those sort of mods for my class next.

I've noticed that some things don't seem to be keyed entirely off the class, so depending on what you want to do, it may work without problems. Send me a message about this.
