I did like that bit of oddity for Tevinter.

That elves in Tevinter, despite being slaves and property, actually have more upward mobility than in the rest of Thedas.

They'll never be Patricians.
But they can be top-shelf Plebs.

she was not a mage then if she waslived as skave,,,if she was a slave because noone said that she and fenris was and she is called as imperial citizen and she was to become a magister so fenris who was a soldier and bodyguard of Danarius(and he was his lover as Gaider comdirmed long ago) and "one of the best swordsmans in Empire" and was allowed to become a super soldier maybe lie to us because this is not making sense in many parts Fenris tald us many stories, many is a real bullsh*t

Despite claiming he's an Altus, the wiki actually links to an interview where Gaider is getting confused on this. I think Gaider honestly meant for him to be a talented Laetan; they're not the very top by birth, but they can reach it. Apparently 1/3 of the Archons have been Laetans.

A lot of what Fenris did say was suspect due to memory loss. Him and Danarius were homeboys before he was grafted with lyrium vallaslin. But Varania was a mage and a slave. There's no denying that.

I don't think you understand the way the classes work... Laetans are the second highest class, not a secondary class.  They are highly respected in Tevinter because they come from bloodlines that have produced mages.  The lowest class are Soparati, who are normal humans who have never had mage children... below them are, of course, the slaves.  So Dorian was a well-respected nobleman before leaving Tevinter because he didn't like their culture.  He isn't a criminal from Tevinter... he rebelled against society and walked away.

srly..even dwarves from ambassadorias have seats in senat...prominent does not mean altus and many laetans and soporati is prominent
