I'll probably side more often with the templars than the mages.

 

I'll side with the mages sometimes though. Probably on my it's better to be free than safe characters.

Everyone has really good points. Some of the posts are actually making me second guess my decisions to go with the templars.

90% of my PTs are mages. So mages if there can be no compromise. I'd prefer the Templars and mages work together. In DAO it's stated the circle is independent of the chantry but that is BS. I know the first enchanter gave Wynne permission to follow the warden, but if Gregor didn't want that he could have said no and that would have been it. I don't really expect mages to govern themselves, but shouldn't be locked up for life.

Except in the exact opposite of that situation he still allows it, even when Wynne would likely been far more useful back at the circle.

 

I honestly think people forget bits of lore when it comes to this subject when it disagrees with their own notions on it.

Like the fact that mages control the Circle and who is allowed to leave, not the Templars. You think Meredith allowed Orsino to walk the streets?
