I'm just eager to see what choice works out though I believe it should be more complex then this faction worked out and this one doesn't. It would also depend on how you manage the Inquisition. If you're a sociopath that does whatever it takes to get what you want it seems your soldier would be too. I believe a comparison has been made to the creation of the jedi order. It may be up to you if your soldiers are jedi or sith. I'm going for jedi but without the restrictions on love and or sex.

I think people forget the Jedi Order had a counter.

Just as the Mages do...

They fought for the Sith many times, were one of the few "species" to ever actually more or less be equals with the dogmatic and rather Darwinistic order of force users, and that was for one simple reason.

They were the best group of warriors in the galaxy.

Mandalorians from Star Wars.

Yes actual Mandolorians: Not what was featured in that horrible animated series from a few years back...

The Mandolorians who beat Jedi to death with their bare hands.

The Mandorians who razed world after world.

The Mandolorians who built up a culture on evolving through war for more then 30,000 years.

Mandalorians or whatever Jango and Boba Fett are?

They have cool armor.

And also that cool not-lightsaber from The Clone Wars cartoon.

Mandalorians aren't canon anymore. I think.. Or did Disney actually decide to keep the KotOR era as canon?

...Yes, Yes they do.

And Yes, Both Bobba and Jango were Mandolorians; To be specific both were Mandolores.

But that isn't neither here nor there.

Like i give two flying ****s what a executive from Disney tells me is or isn't starwars.

The EU was what made Starwars great, The movies were...decent to good.

But they just opened the door, nothing more.

EA holds star wars game license so its possible that it stays

hate to admit it but the dark side saved the galaxy(though caused another war) that time

...Eh by the slimmest of technicalities if you go by Disney and nothing more.

They were featured in both that awful animated series and the movies, so yes they are canon.

You just have to deal with them bloody pacifists during the clone wars, that's an insult right there.

Yeah well... You never know... But I guess since SWtOR is still going, the KotOR era may still be canon.

I'm still bummed about the Thrawn trilogy though :(

I don't know. The Jedi took the threat of the dark side rather seriously. If it was an option I believe a jedi would give a mage two choices. Either come and train with them until they had reached the status of knight or give up their magic. If that second one was possible. A mage isn't like a jedi though. If I'm not mistaken if a jedi isn't trained their force powers remaining relatively nonthreatening. An untrained mage actually seems to become more dangerous if you consider unintended consequences.

Now I can't see the jedi forcing an adult that had been trained to stay considering how they let their members wonder off.

On many levels though I'm anti Jedi. In The Old Republic I went bounty hunter just so I could kill those arrogant jerks that have the nerve to try and force their idea of justice off on me.

LOL. I hate Disney. They're like EA, but worse. Thankfully, FOX has the rights to X-Men.

Mandolore the Ultimate during the Mandolorian Wars yes.

But that wasn't the end of them, they existed long before that conflict and for a long time after it.

But Kreia did speak the truth about their ultimate end.

They will die a death that will last a millenia, until all that last, is their code, there history, and the shell of their armor upon the shell of a man, too easily slain by jedi.

They survived Jango's death, but they weren't what they were after him for decades.

Losing a Mandolore tends to do that for Mandolorians.
