True. Either that or Idunna was really sucky with it.
I'm gonna go for "Both".

I'm playing Awakening right now, actually. Please continue while you act like Anders somehow took down a fort of darkspawn, while being surrounded by five corpses, and then claim it to be hundreds. Go on.
It doesn't say that at all. It says that they held out for days, but Anders was found struck through the throat with an arrow. He was however surrounded by darkspawn. None numbered in the hundreds. Continue.
Exiting conversation with Cullen has Hawke saying that s/he just wanted to catch up with an old friend. It's too bad that when people disagree they don't just flat out hate each other. But as before, continue.
I mean you didn't get this before, but I'll just say it again. The few Templars shown there was not the entire Order's presence in Kirkwall. Meredith already stated more were on the way, they were just moving through the City, as the battle had obviously spread there. Of course, you'll still continue.
It's not my opinion as a "troll" it's a fact stated in game, in an Asunder quote in this thread, and shown in some of the DA:I art. The Templars are trained soldiers who are specialised in combat that can handle mages. Most mages are just normal people with an abnormal trait. They can't compete as they are now.
Every Hawke can break the spell. However only a mage Hawke can break the spell and not kill Idunna while doing so. A rogue or warrior Hawke has to have another mage along with him in the party.
Ah, mea culpa.
Its not the same talent Dreamers have and its not the same thing as fully entering the Fade. All standard spell casting requires a mage draw power from the Fade and then expend it in the physical world. That's not the same thing as leaving your body to enter the Fade while lucid or without the aid of lyrium.
It's not entering the Fade at all. It's just using energy from there. Like I said.
Oh don't worry, you can always burn it.
I think the one the mages are in is made out of rock.
True. Either that or Idunna was really sucky with it.
She seemed like a second rate, two bit sorceress relying on more of her feminine wiles, using blood magic to make herself even more irresistible. Any blood mage worth their salt would steamroll her.

Looks like we're going to need to talk to Saruman or the Qunari then...
No that was EXACT same sentence from epilogue, that's what it says. If Anders dies like you said this is exactly what the epilogue says: If left to defend the Keep without enough upgrades to it, he is found dead with an arrow through his neck with hundreds of darkspawn dead in a circle around him; none were touched with a blade, but all were felled by magic.
You are either blind or stretching. See here for list of all epilogues of Awakening

Calm down. At first I believed you were talking about the beginning, but as I saw you were talking about Epilogue slides, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's hyperbole. It doesn't say he killed them all himself, and it doesn't say when he killed all of them .Vigil's Keep was besieged for a week. Not only that, but that isn't even Ander's corpse. He didn't fight alone, and there's no way he could have held them off alone. Accept it, mages have never been able to kill hundreds in a single instance.
Except exiting the conversation after choosing the friendly dialogue ends up like that. if you choose the rude option you will get a rude answer, naturally.
Except that's not how it works at all. I've never talked friendly to Cullen once and it still ends the same.
Hawke was going to leave anyway and the point is he already killed many on the way to meredith and those with Cullen were not different. he would have killed them and moved on.
No, s/he would have died after Templars overwhelmed him/her. They couldn't even hold of the darkspawn in the Prologue, and they were losing to the Templars during the end.
Since he is one of the writers it doesn't matter what has happened in the past, the war will be balanced in DA:I, end of discussion. We already have thousands of mages at Andoral's reach aka one of the strongest fortresses in Thedas.
The war, as we know it, is not going well. I really don't care about what could happen in DA:I since I believe it's been stated we join the war early on. It's no where near as cut and dry as you want it to be.
I'm gonna go for "Both".
Yeah probably XD

harsh. But so true.

The Qunari are going to wait until one side or another is almost entirely destroyed before setting foot on Thedas, and Saruman's in the fortress you're trying to raze.

Hell, even Merrill could absolutely steamroll Idunna in blood magic.

Nah He'll help out. We'll just tell him Gandalf likes the mages. That will be all the incentive he needs to help us destroy them.

Blood magic is blood magic. And she said she was using blood and desire in equal measure. Tarhone was consorting with a Desire Demon. Idunna may have not been a spellweaving elementalist, but ensorcelling a handful of Templars and almost getting her way with Hawke is enough to warrant props.

Templar recruits, not full on members that had taken their vows. And to be fair, Tarohne was consorting with a Forbidden One, but that still doesn't mean Idunna was that good.

Merrill's not a half bad bloodmage though. ![]()
Again stretch, same outcome happens if Anders is alive. Him killing hundreds of Darkspawn and since he is alive he will be hailed a hero. You would think there is a reason for making him a hero. He killed hundreds of darkspawn, you just need to deal with it.Calm down. How about this? Jowan could have taken down Idunna.
I don't know I guess it would depend on what side could be more helpfull or how my character feels but I guess I would destroy both and put an end to the chantry and then start undoing all of the bad the chantry has done I would help the elves find a homeland create a law which stops the rites of tranquility and stop the hatred of mages if a mage gets attacked without need or reason the attackers will rot same the other way around if a mage attacks non mages without need or reason they will also rot. I would start a proper school like system for mages and set up jobs for them when they a ready to leave such as healers enchanters alchemists teachers inquisition members and scholars.
so thats my plan because i think after dai I think the next game will also include the inquisitor and stuff like this should be options for the next game.

Some people are REALLY easy to manipulate.

You said it yourself. Xebenkeck. Not a stretch to say that's where her power was coming from.

lol... I don't know about all that. Jowan would probably trip and fall while attempting to use the murder knife, gutting himself in the process.

Truth.
Yeah i've decided i'm going to destroy both templars mages and red templars which should weaken the chantry no chantry aloud in my inquisition and if i have the option lelina and cassandra can go and do one as well.
