The cure is not worth it.

Though he was not very intelligent in his attempt to cover it up, he does share part of the blame to that extent.

One thing that my bigass essay on the subject made me reluctantly accept is that the majority on both side didn't want the war.

First of all, the Templars that appear on the cutscene are not the exact numbers of Templars that are at the entrance anymore than the mages that appeared in the cutscene were all that there was of the Circle's fighting force.
It's meant to convey a situation, in this case, Hawke is outnumbered and surrounded by Templars; not "Ok, I'm counting 25 Templars, we can totally do this, you guys."

Second, the Circle is not a couple of corridors. There was way more Circle than what we saw.

Seriously, don't try to use the numbers that appear in cutscenes as evidence of the size of a population. Otherwise, there are more criminals than law abiding citizens in Kirkwall and the elven population is a grand total of 15.

And it works both ways given that the entrance to the gallows in which we fight Meredith is small, at most hundred people fit there.

What.

Magneto managed to took out armies several times, he struggled but even took them out when they used plastic. I did say it depends on the situation therefore its hard, not impossible. DA is not exactly reality.

I'm sorry, guy tried to destroy the cure for Tranquility.

**** that guy.

But yes, Adrian/Anders romance.

:-)

What's the point of having a cure for Tranquility? It helps no one.

I'm fairly sure Tranquility would qualify as a kind of severe brain damage under most medical professionals.

That's just insulting to tranquil right there, their brains work fine, they don't process emotion but their minds are there, they are intact and they work.

Short of the PC or his companions?

They were.

Gameplay and Story Segregation.

Even so, the Templars would have suffered severe causalties. They couldn't fire arrows from positions in the gallows as they'd have to go through the gates.

To my knowledge there isn't a magical ability to pluck arrows from the sky in mid flight in Dragon Age.

So again, Parallel isn't there.

Because an idiot decision by a bigger fool then Anders.

Hell, maybe we could have seen reform if Anders had not chosen to act as he did. Maybe Lambert would have even been on board with some of them. What Anders did put everyone on edge, and understandably so.

Except emotional loss is some definitions of psychopathia.

Considering he was even willing to concede the tranquility "cure" might be looked into in the future under supervision, who knows.

It's a what if scenario.

Your pointing being?

Do the Tranquil seem psychopathic to you?

I think it's a start. At the very least, we might one day find a way to deny a mage of their power without needing to kill or make them Tranquil. This method would be able to deal with cases like Orana, or young mages who don't want to go through the Harrowing. Granted, I'm all for keeping Tranquility as a punishment for mages who break the law.

They seem like just slightly above the Walking Dead.

Problems aside, Adrian's decision to replace Tranquility with execution seems more moral to me.

And it absolutely drives me up the wall that he took away that entire realm of possibility. And that is why I will never condone what he did.

They don't get insulted, we can say and do whatever we want to them.

Telekinesis.

Agreed. Force magic certainly exists.

Telekinesis.

It hasn't been applied to anything besides improving armor penetrating and manipulating corpses.

.-. Oh and using it as a broad "gravity" based ability to stun enemies.

It doesn't really seem anywhere near refined enough to pluck individual projectiles from the sky.

The Tranquil.

The Tranquil were made Tranquil for a reason.

Removing Tranquility would make executions more common.

That would be ideal, of course.

In the meantime, a cure would just restore dangerous mages and create tensions between Templars and mages which did happen.

A lot more common, and also what happens to the circle enchanting service?

That's what keeps them in wine and silk sheets!
