I maintain that is OOC for both Anders and Justice.
FENRIS helps mages when the slavery issue is brought up with him.
Nah it was in character. Anders is *that* much of an ******* to anyone who doesn't support his cause in the end.

Which is why my terrorist Mage Hawke stabbed him.
I'm honestly surprised at the threads over in DA2's forum.
"You killed Anders? As a pro-Mage? WHAAAT?"
And then all the talk about how they spared Anders but wanted to kill Sebastian for being angry about it.
It was the fact both wanted to sleep with Hawke.
Isabela suggested both do it.
Which made my straight Hawke's relationship with her awkward.
I'd say that was headcanon, but it's probably true in any universe where those events happened.
Eh? I'm pretty sure you don't get that suggestion unless your Hawke has slept with both Fenris and Anders. It's where the "oh stop it I did him/her too." (if you slept with Isabela too) bit comes in.

Well, Sebastian did just declare war on the city that Hawke is more or less in charge of by that point.

Yeah even most of my pro mage people kill him XD I'm more likely to spare him on a pro templar playthrough honestly.
LMFAO man I only wish I could told Seb to kill Anders himself I had better things to do. That'd be an awesome arrow to the head scene.
Well, Sebastian did just declare war on the city that Hawke is more or less in charge of by that point.
That was an exaggeration at best due to how emotional he was over seeing his mentor die. I highly doubt that Sebastian of all people would order an army to attack civilians just so that he could get to Anders... opposing soldiers protecting an abomination who killed Elthina and whoever else was inside the Chantry at the time, yes, that I could see.
I will probably keep Anders alive in one playthrough for shits and giggles.
I really want to see if choir boy actually does raze Kirkwall xD

And Anders blew up its biggest landmark.
I'm just saying the, "Kill Sebastian, spare Anders" thing is pretty messed up.
Like this scene from KOTOR.

Bah this was the best scene for a DS PC.
Especially shrugging at the council later.

Vandar: I don't think this "use Revan to stop Malak" plan is working.

Which I presume is canonically why Hawke lets him go. But it's not wholly unreasonable to see him as a threat.

I wouldn't say it's messed up, necessarily, as Anders might be needed to fight the templars. The Grey Wardens conscript criminals, why can't I?

Mageneto: Abomination Healer or Prince of a Kingdom. Hmmm. Which will be more useful?

Good. My revan laughed at them from the star forge.

Star Forge >>> Death Star

No, I understand why people who let Anders live want Sebastian dead... I'm just saying that the idea of Sebastian attacking the entire city is an exaggeration. Probably on the level of a pro-Anders Hawke being able to successfully rally an army of Kirkwallers to defend their possessed friend.
Not messed up at all. I wanted to kill Seb cause he primarily wanted to burn the damn city to the ground after I chose to spare Anders. I spared Anders to make him help me save at least some of the mages he had damned with his actions. And Anders blew up its biggest landmark.

I admit, part of what I like about Bioware is they're not afraid to have Companions act in unexpected ways. Obsidian has its upsides but I felt they get a little too meta now and then. For example, in KOTOR2, your Companions are literally being mind-controlled by you on some level to do whatever you want. I prefer some companions flat out doing what they want.
1. Alistair dumps you or kills the Archdemon for you.
2. Leliana turns on you over the Holy Grail of Burnt Prophet. Ditto Wynne.
3. Leliana dumps your ass for cheating on her with Anora unless she's ruthless.
4. Morrigan leaves no matter what with her Dragonborn child.
Mageneto: Abomination Healer or Prince of a Kingdom. Hmmm. Which will be more useful?
Abomination Healer - the prince was useless in a fight. Always the first to go down.

I don't see how people actually believe Seb actually meaning this other than a moment of rage.
I mean...maybe it's just me but it doesn't seem very in character for Seb to raze a city to the ground for someone who's long gone. Hunt Anders down? Sure. Burn a city to the ground after you're gone? Uh...not really? Is there something in his character I'm missing?

"But he said he would!"
"Empress Celene isn't going to actually help the elves either."
"Bioware lied to me!"

That behavior is completely inconsistent with Sebastian's character... nothing in the entire game, not even one line of dialogue would suggest that he'd follow through with such a plan. I understand people not liking him but I do not approve of buying into delusions simply to justify one's opinions.

Which one is less likely to betray me for the templars when they make a better offer?

Well, he also wants to kill all of the "maleficar" in Kirkwall.

Yep. Disliking him sure. Wanting to kill him for seeking revenge on Hawke and Anders? Fine.
Wanting to kill him for threatening to burn Kirkwall to the ground in a moment of grief despite it being extremely OOC for him to actually go through it? Uh...

I spared him so he could help me stop the mages.
That's the only way he can truly be punished: by making him regret his actions and understand how they have killed the very people he wanted to help.
Well, he also wants to kill all of the "maleficar" in Kirkwall.
The Rite of Annulment is a Chantry practice that has been sanctioned for hundreds of years. Right or not, it is a part of the agreement between Templar and Circle mage so that order is maintained within the Circles at all times. This is not equivalent to attacking unarmed civilians who live under no such agreement. If the City Guard in all cities could wipe out everyone living near the market district because the crime rate got too high, then you might have a point.
