So, your Inquisitor may well be viewed as a messianic figure on par with Andraste by the end of all this. After all, it's not everyone who saves the entire world.

At the very least, you'll be pretty high up there.

Will you be bemused by your status as a demigod, disturbed, in denial, or abusive regarding it?

Do you think Bioware will keep the mysterious figure who gives you the brand mysterious or will they give an answer?

I do find it interesting because I've been playing MageJesus for two games.

I think my Vashoth Inquisitor won't possibly be able to give less of a damn about Andraste - but hey, moving up in the world. She'll go with it.

Playing as a qunari first time round, will be resisting the idea that The Inquisitor's powers are anything to do with The Maker or Andraste.

My male elf/kossith mage Inquisitor will try to cut tongues of every who will try to call him as Herald of Andraste/Maker...and he will not do anything good for Orlais Empire/Orlais Chantry/Templars/Seekers

One of the Ancient Creators or elves give Inquisitor power to manipulate with fade

I intend to be skeptical it was Andraste but act as if it were.

I was given a second chance at life by her so I will attempt to hold myself to the highest moral standards and help as many people as possible.

Which will SUCK when I want to murder-hobo Celene, Gaspard, and the Templars.

My first Inquisitor will likely go with the flow. He won't push the issue, but he won't bother denying it either, because i) he likely doesn't know what really happened, and who is he to argue? and ii) he can use any authority he can get.

Of course, it also depends on how things actually go.

I think they will give an answer. Eventually.

Mage Trevelyan will be Andrastian. To be named the Herald of his Prophetess would be blasphemous and sacrilegious in his mind and he will check people every opportunity he gets. A lot of table flipping.

I suspect he'll be okay with that.

Though it will be tear-jerking because he'll have fallen in love with Cassandra and vice versa.

Something he'd never experienced before.

Expect much Square Ennix cherry-blossom use and pseudo-mysticism as he fades away.

(Though, in my MageHawkeWardenInqusitor--he'll be pretty annoyed as he'd been dodging death pretty well until then)

I am I the only one who thinks it's weird that a Dalish elf, qunari or dwarf would revered by many as "The Herald of Andraste"? I mean, there has got to be people who are going to object and protest against that. I hope that as the inquisitor, no matter the race, we can make it known that our character is not an Andrastian and flat out dislikes the title, or revel in the fact that all these people are going to grovel at your feet.

When I play a dwarf she'll probably not believe it but be willing to take advantage of it.

Dalish will probably have to keep pulling over companions "What's andrastes deal again? I know like, literally no history of her beyond taking out Tevinter and being friends with Shartan"

"They burned her alive. Then pretended she never liked elves, hated mages, and wanted to conquer the world. Her kids propped her up as a god."

"Urk."

"Herald of Andraste, huh? Gee, that's swell. Do me a favor, huh? When you're done swooning, pick up a sword or something and help me kill these f*****g Demons?! Thanks."

In one of the gameplay demos, a player went to close a rift with a companion and a message popped up saying 'Only the Herald of Andraste can interact with rifts' or something along those lines.

Curious that a message that only the player sees says that, isn't it? Makes it look like no matter your stance on your rift closing abilities, it is actually fact that you are the herald of Andraste. I wonder what the explanation for that is going to be.

Nope . Dalish elf can swing it a tiny bit better I think whats with Andraste story tied to their ancestor enslavement . But surface dwarf and Qunari...that is just weird .

Yeah, my first Inquisitor will go with the flow in that regard.  He'll be religious and think the Maker had something to do with him surviving the Veil Tear and gaining the power to stop it but he's not going to be professing that it was Andraste that saved him in the Fade as it is questionable on who or what the glowing figure that saved the Inquisitor is.

SEE HOW ANDRASTE PICKS A HERALD NOT ONLY WHO WILL SAVE THE WORLD, BUT WILL GO HOME TO CONVERT THE REST OF THEIR HEATHEN SPECIES TO HER NAME

....yeah it's a bit silly.

I mean you climb towards somebody in the Fade. It doesn't really have to be Andraste, but she probably presented herself as such.

Thanks to my Warden. there's a thriving population of Andrastrian Dwarves.

Mostly Casteless.

I do find it funny that Brother Burkel may have a bunch of converts in the Carta.

It'd be like Catholicism and the Mob.
